Folks, im quite new to bikes, only been riding a few months. I have had my sv650 curvy for a couple months now but thinking theres a couple wee bits not right, Was wondering if someone who is really clued up could have a wee check over it. My main problem is the occasional cutting out and the engine not sounding quite right. Might all be in my head, but would love a wee bit of reassurance if thats all it takes, if not, then little bit of guidance to get it sorted. I stay in Greenock

Are you after a favour or a garage to check it over? Know a few bikers in Greenock who'll give you the heads up on where to go? Mine is spewing oil today. The joys of riding...! ;)

just a favour. dont want to look like a muppet going to a garage if nothing is wrong. Would rather someone gave it a wee look at first before i part with my cash :)

I took mine to Saltire Suzuki in Edinburgh whan I first got mine and they did a free safety inspection on it for me, they were happy to do this and there is also a chance they will get any service work etc when needed. Although I do my own services I will buy my parts from them now so they score in the end.
You could ask your local dealer to do the same thing as it only really takes them 10 minutes.

Stevie, my sister stays in Greenock. She's given up biking but I'm sure one of her mates could have a wee look at it. I'll ask her over the weekend if you like.

I'm in Bishopton so just up the road. I've got a used daily 1999 curvy if you want something to compare yours to. Also got gauges if you're balancing carbs yourself.
