£400 TPF&T stored outdoors, in chav-central manchester. Would have been £300 with a garage...
+ 60 day Europe cover
+ Cover on other bikes
Bike does have alarm + datatag though. It's got allllllll the extras. Triumph can, stainless belly pan (oh yeah ;) ) and other shiny shiny metal parts that make it look straight out of mad max! Also in showroom condition. Quite how a 10 year old bike can look that good I don't know. I want it now! I do!

The wunoffs are awesome, my dad had one on an early 955 'tona. Sounded like doooom! Very angry snarl to it, first ton up at 11ish. Ace bike!
Ask rictus about his blueprinted motor. Tempting stuff...

Id agree with Chris after what happened to me. Go bigger on the back :D
yorkie_chris
12-04-09, 07:18 PM
Smaller front sprocket puts more tension into the chain. A larger rear keeps the chain tension the same for a given amount of power but the wheel torque and hence drive force is increased.

You are having a laugh. My Daytona 955i SE had the genuine high level carbon race can and sounded like the world was ending. My dad hates bikes, but even he admitted it sounded nice... "just like a Hawker Hurricane starting up when I was a kid during the war" was how he described it when I fired it up outside my parent's front door one evening.
Loud doesn't come close to describing the cacaphony it emitted.

Impressive power :)
Whats done to it?
Just about everything that can be, would be the short answer, but high lights are,
ported, polished , blueprinted, hot cams, custom throttle bodies, bigger injectors, custom mapped, ram air convertion, post 2002 internals, balanced airbox/exhaust, bigger rad, bigger oil cooler, thinned butterfly spindles, exhaust delipped, forged pistons, pickup mod, full maxton fork rebuild, full maxton rear shock rebuild, coated bearings, changed gearbox ratio's, changed final drive ratio's,head skimmed resulting it higher compression.
bodywork and frame mods as well, Rizoma twin stacked projector fairing, led indi's and stop/tail, pressure rear brake light switch, gilles rearsets, splitfire plugs........and many more bit's n bobs.
Most of the engine work was beyond my ability (I done the one before this and managed 139bhp), so wasn't cost effective at all (read cost a fortune).
Cheers Mark.

Well, picked the bike up this morning after sleeping in (a long story, but I seem to have been indoctrinated in to a hells angels gang… ) . So I got on the bike, headed for the motorway and everything seemed good. Nice power, strong brakes, all pretty civilised. Would zoom up to 140 with no effort, and even sitting at 120 didn’t feel too bad. So surprisingly comfortable on the motorway... erm... private racetrack all in all, (which confirms that fairings must be for girls). Got home, had a cup of coffee and all was good :) To be honest I expected something more wild.
Before the coffee had chance to cool down I gulped it, got back on the bike and headed for some twisties. 35 miles to the cat and fiddle, with oodles of roundabouts to warm you up en-route. Plodding along I up the pace a little, and things started to come together… rather nicely ;)
It wasn’t until I started gunning it that I knew what this bike was about. That triple howl that seems to go berserk after 6k rpm. That has both a sense of urgency and anger that craves more revs, more gears…more gas! And rather bizarrely sounds not too dissimilar to a Ferrari v8 at full chat (weird eh). Those brakes that seem hell bent on stoppie-ing at every single red light. But that’s fine, as you can then launch yourself off again in a hail of triple-roar. Quite why you’d need more umph on a naked bike I’ll never know. Bumps that went unnoticed on the SV turned in to jumps – the front wheel lifting itself clean of the ground on every occasion. If there’s anything I’ve learnt today, it’s what steering dampeners must be for!
But I was a little worried that the twisties would show the triple’s weight. I was already pretty rubbish on the SV so thought the ‘barge-like’ handling was going to be more than I could handle.
WRONG! Holy **** this thing goes, stops, and corners like a dream! The flightiness of the SV was the bike after all. The triple just grips and grips, and lets you know exactly what’s going on at all times. The wide bars are great for just chucking it on its side, where it feels so planted and stable. The grunt coming out of the corners is biblical, just hurtling you towards the horizon with no regard for anything in the way. I can see how you could get in to big trouble with this thing. **** happens a lot more quickly than the SV. Did I mention that it’s quick? ;)
All things considered, this is one hell of a bike, no wonder people keep them so long. That engine is just perfect, and seriously meaty, the suspension and brakes make no disguise of its sportsbike background, and it’s a great place to be, behind the bug eyes :)

Mine sometimes does a bit of a backfire before it starts when it's cold. By coincidence I park it with the back end facing a bus stop.
Watching 40 students dive around as if they've been shot is f##kin hilarious

I enjoy scaring the kids when they come over and say "Nice bike mate" so I start it up. So many jumps and "F-Me man". :smt118 Kids, funny people. :rambo:
