The bike is repairable at this moment (hoorah) and I have been told I am only two more weeks in cast and the bone is healing well. I have even found a second to post these pics of where I crashed.

The patch of gravel... now you can see why I didnt see it.. shaded by trees... and road colour..

A Close up of the gravel with my back tyre mark through it...

The beginings of the slide....

the extent of the slide....I finished level with the bike the RST leathers were VERY good, I landed Very hard and they didnt go though, and I estimate my speed to be beterrn 30 & 40.

Considering the state of some of our country roads i'm just waiting for this to happen to me.
Glad you're on the mend, along with your bike.

There seems to be more and more of this crap in the middle of the road even on major routes.

I had a really big moment on the A54 where the rear seriously let go on gravel whilst accelerating up a hill.

Glad you recovering well though.

Bike looks in pretty good shape all things considered Alex. You going to buy it back and fix it up?

That gravel is impossible to see in that dappled sunlight.

You sound very positive, Alex. Good man.

That's good - it looks like it will scrub up well anyway. I bet you are hoping for a new set of cans then! I was thinking of doing some work on mine later in the year so it may see a track or 2 through the summer but otherwise not much happening on the riding front at the mo.
