View Full Version : Bristol tunnel run - weds 20/05/09
Apologies to all,
I've been sidelined from Wednesdays tunnel run - Rubbish!
I did a stupid endurance race yesterday and knackered my knee.
No chance of me being able to get on the bike by weds.
But if anyone fancies taking the lead, please feel free to go ahead without me.
Sorry,
AL
Hi all,
I propose we organise a tunnel run through Bristol - give the locals a blast of our v-twin symphony.....:p:smt068:cool:
The date is wednesday 20th May, meeting at 7pm in the Holiday Inn carpark off the M32 [BS16 1QX]
(date and time can be altered to suit if necessary)
The route should take about an hour, ending under the severn bridge for a photo opportunity.

sounds intresting........... may i recomend it ending at a pub, so we can chill out with a pint (of coke)
Good suggestion Hovis, no doubt Severn Beach will have a pub (just south of the finish point)
AL
I rode through Bris with Hovis once.He was scared of the trafic and filtering ,and I had to keep waiting for him

:laughat:
Went out this afternoon to scope the route.
Half the route is city centre, and half is slow twisty country roads, so not the most exhilerating ride.
But this is more about making some noise and scaring the pedestrians :smt077 :D
some of the better tunnels....

See y'all on the 20th,
AL
i would class them as bridges not tunnels
Well, it's the best bristol has to offer.
If only we lived in the alps......

This is something I wanted to do before I got banned from this site.
I saw your post and had to suggest that you might want to include the tunnel that goes under Broadmead Galleries on Fairfax street.
