Er, if you're in Newport anyway why not try South Wales Superbikes?

Because i hate dealers. Try Cwmbran Motorcycles. Or there's an MOT place on caerleon road by the cenotaff (sp?).

So what are Cwmbran Motorcycles if not dealers? Wizurd only wants an MOT. Not a new bloody bike.
BTW, I only asked!!!

i ordered a screw, and the threads are too short on it. How can you order the wrong screw for a brake res when i gave them the year, make, model and exact description. Sorry for the anger.

Is this the latest in a long line of c ock ups by said dealer? Or was it a random event? If its the latter, I would say to chill out a bit dude its only a screw. Mistakes happen. If, however, its a regular occurence, I would ask to see the manager and ask him / her if they are aware of the sort of knuckle-dragging dipstick they have working on the parts department?
Just my 2p.

Um my mate bought a bike from there and asked for the clutch to be set differently when he bought it and it wasn't. TBH i'm just not liking dealers at all. I've only ever had 1 good dealer experience and it was in a sales department after i came off my SV who gave me a tea and biscuit. Other than that i've had 3 services which took double time or i've broken down on the way home. I just hate the whole "your only 1 customer out of a billion" attitude. I prefer local places if your really stuck with a problem or fix it yourself with internet bits from a warehouse.

Fair one.
lol started a dealership war here then. Ta for the advice from all though. I'm gonna see if i can get it done this week now, drop the bike off early and then pick up after work.
I use Pee Gee in Caerphilly, they've been ok for my MOTs.
Had mine done on Saturday £29. which included Coffee and biscuits.
I like to support the small business when i can, its tough at the moment.

got it booked in for tomorrow at 2pm at Polo Ground Motors down in pontypool. Only going there cause i spoke to the guy i got the bike from and he took it there last time. They sound fairly easy going which i like too :-)
Will let you all know how it goes.

how did it go?
sorry for the slow replies. In the end i couldn't get to Polo Ground motors cause i had to help the gf clean her old flat out ready for inspection.
Soooo. pitched up at Cwmbran Motorcycles this moring around 10am. "not a prob" they said. So left bike with them. Came back at half 11 with a nice shiny new MOT :-D Chuffed. no problems and only 29.20. I did mention to them i didnt have a rear reflector but they weren't bothered which is fine by me. Just been out enjoying the sun, been up to llandegfedd reservoir in New Inn and then around cwmbran, old road to usk, old road to Caerleon then back on motorway to Magor. Only short blast but cracking fun :-D.
Thanks for the advice from everyone o and i did ring South Wales superbikes but they told me they don't do MOTs. Worked out ok anyway

llandeg res is bad. dont mention work grrr but +1 to cwmbran motorcycles.
whats wrong with the res? :-)
yay
you just need to get you @ss out on a rideout now
camping in june-devon
campingin july- north brecon
camping in aug- essex (anual rideout 100 bikes)
plus there will be a few one dayers,
been thinking about it hovis. At the mo just trying to get practice when i can. My concern is being too amatuer to keep up on a ride out/holding people up/looking like a tit :-)
Devon and Brecon sound good though. Seen the thread i think for the Devon one.
My concern is being too amatuer to keep up on a ride out/holding people up/looking like a tit :-)
too amatuer to keep up - Dont worry about no being able to keep up, people will wait for you.
holding people up - Very difficult to hold another bike up. if the rider wants to go (s)he will. Ride your own ride dont push beyond your comfort zone, any other riders will understand this.
looking like a tit - everyone does at some point, you just need to be able to laugh about it.
I've been on lots of ride-out organised by through the org everyone has been realy nice and understanding.
cool, less worried about it now. What i'll do is check the dates and see if i'm free. Should be though
im not sure ir your aware of it, but we use the drop off system,
basicly it means every junction will be marked, so you cant go the wrong way, and there is a "tail end charlie" a guy who rides at the back, at all times. he will go as fast or as slow as the person he is following
simples
see here

which explains it in more detail
