Nice one, Smeggons! :D

Bonus to see us for a few brief seconds, didn't expect to as we'd run as TEC most of the weekend! :)

Many many thanks Smeggy.... music and editing were brilliant. Did I read that you`ve still got some footage to put on vid?

Thanks Claire and yes there's still plenty of footage to sort through so there will be another one sometime. :D

In the Biblical sense, Binky ?

I see it almost like a tribute to the poor Donkey from NW5 and the horrors that Orose and Badger put it through. ;)

I'm just being nosy but is this the main vid from the rideout? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gflsoUhXcJQ&feature=channel_page

It sounds like it - just want to say that is absolutely brilliantly edited, one of the best I've seen!

Where is the camera mounted - is it on the indicator? I'd love to get a camera that mounts in that position but I don't know how it mounts there (and it might not mount well on my bike cos the indicators are in the mirrors).

Yep, that's the main one. Seggons has his camera mounted on a little bracket that attatches somewhere around the radiator cover mount. He'll be along to no doubt tell me i've got it completely wrong though.

He may be a while though as he's busy editing up the Willingham Woods rideout for us.

Thanks alot Muffles and yes like Binky said that is the main one. Binky is also right about how it's mounted. All it is, is 3 holes in a bit of metal and screwed onto the rad.

Pictures of it are here (excuse the bike being crashed).

I wish I had a camera setup, is it pretty expensive to get a decent camera and recording equipment?

Did you not film 'the crash'?

Binky

He'd have just got a sea of grass and lots of brown blurs, (mainly mud, but also Seggons cacking himself)

Think they, cost around 300 sterling i believe.

Sorry for the derails but can the police demand the footage from a camera if they spot it when they pull you over?

You'd struggle to get anything useful out of one mounted where Seggons has his (mine is the same, except I'm using the sucker on helmet mount) - you struggle to get a bearing on how far things are away from the camera.

All in, I paid about 160 for mine, but I've got a less flexible setup (essentially limited to 2 hours per video before an SD card change) and dangling wires.

Cheers - I will have to think about where it can be mounted as neither of mine have an exposed part like that I could bolt it on to :(

BUT I will have the same problem as you :D - so you have it mounted to your helmet? Not to the bike?

Yeah, I have - however, I'm much lazier about my editing, so I've got no example footage or pics. Should probably take advantage of being bikeless and pull my finger out, but I think Pt6 has the best one - we're still waiting for the catherine wheel part 2, as far as I can work out, and that was at the tail-end of the summer last year :p

I think it will be a good idea to take the camera discussion to a thread of it's own guys... Ask a photo section mod to move / merge the discussion so far to your new thread.

the last time I went to Wales we visited Goodrich castle on the way...
I was still in primary school and my geography was not good back in 1977...
So where is Goodrich castle then... humm. I'll google that one...
Good greif, its not even in Walse..all these years I thought it was in Wales... Well every day is a school day. as you learn something new.

Hey Richie & LP
You didn't mean Gwrych Castle ( nr Abergele ) where the Dragon Rally was in 1963 ?
I know your post was 3 weeks ago, but I have as much difficulty keeping up on rideouts!
