Haven't really looked into it but a product called "Popcorn Hour" may be what you want.

Will have more info later - will talk to some mates who are into this kind of thing.

Thanks Soulkiss - I've got the VLC player, Win Media Player and neither seem to handle this.

Ahh I thought you meant a hardware solution.......

I tend to source my media pre-ripped/converted so I am not up to speed, but the guys over at www.doom9.net have a lot of info on that very subject, including I believe, tutorials and links to required software.

If you just want to play the files make sure you have the right codec and it should play in media player.

Pretty much every codec you'll ever need is in this pack

As for ripping DVDs into MP4 I dunno, much quicker and easier just to download the torrent of the DVD if you ask me.
