Repairing a busted zip

One of my boots at a rideout a few months back decided it wanted to break on me, to a never get me back on status.

Could I get a new zip fitted on over top if I took it to someone to do?

Or shall I just stop being a tight wad?

yeah they can be repaired. Shoe repairs shops might do it? I know someone who alters/makes leathers that does it. If oyu have a similar person near you?

What boots are they???? Alpinestars they will repair any individual part of the boot where possible. At a cost, but apparently I've heard they are quite reasonable. If not A*s, then as said above, decent show makers / repairers may be able to help.
