Sorry IT Geek Question.

I wanted to know if any of the forums peeps out there, could loan me a software recovery program to recover a MS Exchange 2003 database from a crashed Small Business Server 2003 SP2.

Unfortunately I cannot recover the database from backup, as the Server was rebuilt with a New Server Name, and Local Domain Name, so using the Exchange Recovery Storage Group utility fails to load this.

I do have the flat files of the *.edb and *.stm files, and need to be able to extract the information in the db files to PST.

Can anyone help me out with this, as trawling the web the software for this service is quite pricey, and other channels are becoming difficult too.

Thanks in advance.

Err, why not just install SBS on another machine with all the old setting, restore the backup and go from there?

I did try that, but was getting the error message of not enough disk space to mount the database...so attempted the eseutil commands to check the database and isinteg to fix the database, but I then get the error message about not restoring the database correctly and need to use the file restore.env.

I do not have that file anywhere on any of the backups.

The error message is something like Jet_errdatabasesoftwarerecovery, or something along those lines.
