You should be able to get your original full power one from the dealer who restricted it.

+1 and you need at least a k7 onwards one. They changed the ECU connection at K7 >
regarding the offer to go to the dealer
it cost here to change the cdi around 2000$
so i preffer buying abroad
how much does it cost at your place
may anyone help me?

ebay is worth a try. Apart from that migght be difficult. And when you had it restricted they should of given you the other CDI as well.
i bought new from the dealer already restricted so i didnt recieved the original one
maybe they fooled me and i should have got the cdi
but i dont have it

+1 you buy a bike, suzuki happen to provide you with a free kneecapped ECU. You still own the original.

i agree, you only pay for the restricted ecu and according to suzuki you still own the full power ecu regardless as to whether the dealer gave it to you or not.
can someone please reffer me to where it is written that suzuki still gives me the unresricted cdi because here it is not like this/
can someone with connections in the local dealer can reffer me to the dealer at your place and i will give him a call or email.
thx

They should give you the part. You are buying a whole bike.
Have you asked them for it? It may be helpful to say you're going on a trackday or something like that.
ok thanks for now i will do my best

You should definitely have recieved the full power ecu - I did with mine. Some people have said to me that the K9 has slightly different electronics so I'd make sure you get a K9 ecu.
Also, I didn't know there was a K9n...I though it was either a sport or gladius!
This is the UK link...surely would apply in Israel too though! :)

a dealer can keep hold of the restricted ecu for you, you are supposed to ask for the original ecu whether that be from the beginning or two years later.

that is correct there is no naked k9, it may be a late registered k8

Guys, the whole "you are entitled to the original ECU" thing may not be valid here. It could well be a UK/EU thing. Ehzehz is in Israel which last time I looked still did its own thing.
Ehzehz, I'd suggest contacting the Suzuki distributor to see if you are entitled to the full power ECU. If not, then look for a unit from a breaker or eBay.
Cheers
thnk you allot
today i did my 1000km maintanence an i asked about the cdi
as said here Israel dealer has his own laws and i am not intiteled for the unrestricted cdi
so i will try to find one on the world wide web
mine is a k9 ihave it's book and it say k9 on it
