View Full Version : All excited, look what i made.
I noticed that although my rad is fairly well hidden by the fairing, it has suffered some small pock marks from stones etc, so thought Id make my own stone guard.
Havent quite decided on how its going to be fixed as yet, but will try some ideas this weekend, and yes I made it all by myself :takeabow::D

Looks good. Simple but effective, and cheap. Not sure about the black edging, looks a bit blue peter.
You would probably get away with fixing it with a hot glue gun because it's so light
Only put the edging on due to the sharp edges, and hey it was free courtesy of work, along with the time to make it, lol. glue gun a good idea, thanks.

must have took all day to make that, lol no seriously looks good, glue gun or maybe araldite
Maybe make a couple of little brackets for it?
Looks very good, well done, I love the edging makes it enclosed and "finished".
Love to see pics of it fitted. Top Marks!!!
Will try and fit it later, yeah so it doesnt look as nice as a £50 stainless jobby, but it wont really be seen, its just for peace of mind. I certainly wouldnt put it on a naked sv
Piccies when fitted ;)

Will it stay nice & shiney like that or will it dull down?

Anyway, heres the fitted item, really dont know if it will stay shiny, I really doubt it, it was a £8 ally sheet from B&Q.
