View Full Version : Short people be grateful
that your feet do not touch the floor when on your bikes as this would not happen to you when standing up a bit early exiting the back of a Transit van. 3 hours in A&E for them to spend 5 minutes cleaning and applying Cyanoacrylate glue (SuperGlue). The doctor said he could see my skull whilst cleaning it out. Luckily it will be hidden by my full head of hair when it re-grows.

Ow, I had a similar injury caused by poor judgement and a claw hammer. the purple scabs are loads of fun to pick.
Good effort, if you had hair that would leave a really noticable cracking scar, alas it will just leave a crack scar ;) :p
I have a scar on the side of my head from doing a hand stand in the back of a car when I was little. :(
Luckily it will be hidden by my full head of hair when it re-grows.
Doesn't look like much has been shaved off, if any! ;)
Looks like you had a fun afternoon! I also don't think short people should envy tall people...sitting on a plane for 11hours going to America with your legs pressed against the seat in front is also one of my main dislikes of being tall! :)

OUCH that looks a sore one. Did you manage to keep the bike upright after your head stopped spinning and you figured out what happened?
Well Lilly, normally us tall folk crounch when in the back of a van then stand up just as we step out but I stood up a step too early and smashed my head into the lock at the top of the roof. No bikes were involved. I was loading furniture with a neighbour on Friday night.

Ouch!!!! hope it heals soon... must have caused a few stars!
No stars, just scars. That's why I was waiting in A&E for 3 hours while everyone else got seen. I said I did not lose conciousness so they prioritised me blue at treage probably - meanin I could wait all night.

You`re lucky... must`ve been one hell of a whack to cause that injury!!! i`m sure they`ve already given you the rundown but any symptoms of nausea, dizziness, blurred vision get back there and have them check you out.
Bless you Claire. G/F is a nurse so will be playing up tomorrow when she visits ;)
woohoooo.. 1 up for short people..
that looks sore..
done the same sorta thing fixing brake pipes on a car.. slid from underneath, went to get up, hadn't got out far enough, smacked my forehead on the sill then proceeded to smack the back of my skull on the tarmac..
I've just realised that Lil_Lady doesn't know yet as she was on a hen weekend in Brighton for a Uni friend. How should I break the news.....?
