A mate got a text from his Mum yesturday, saying your Dad's had a bike accident but he's ok.
After speaking to her he finds out it was on Saturday, the guy had been drinking a lot and rowing with his wife and daughter (mate's mum and sister of course) they went out because he is a tw4t when drunk, like my mate really!
They later found out he had ridden out and misjudged the m25/m23 sliproad and come off hard.
He remembers nothing because he was so ****ed and the police will be prosecuting as soon as he's fit enough. Fortunately he had a good jacket on, but shorts, old gloves and a flip up helmet resulted in heavy road rash on his legs, hands and face. No broken bones though :)
Don't know what condition the bike's in but it's an old BMW so it doesn't matter really...
As much as I am concerned for him, and especially his family I totally believe he deserves everything he gets sorry it's harsh but what would he expect to happen?
Oh yeah and his daughter's getting married in a fortnight so guess who WONT be giving her away...

If you're aware enough to make it to a motorway junction you're aware enough to know it's a stupid idea to be getting on the bike
Hopefully he is OK, I would wish death on very few people, I feel more sympathy for his family
I would hope he'll lose his license for a long time and have a while to think about how daft he was
no sympathy from me..... or anyone else i would expect.....
I can see where you're coming from but harsh to say he deserved it. I wouldn't do it myself (I hope) but anyone can make a mistake.
I'm sure it will be a painful lesson to learn, smashing up his bike, smashing up himself, not being able to give his daughter away and more than likely ******* his family right off. I'm sure it will be quite thought provoking for him....

Hmm not sure about deserved, but it was inevitable.....
Would have been better if he had been stopped and then disqualified without the hurty-bits, but hey, Speed Cameras are all we need to police the roads......

Lets just hope it makes him see some sense. But that evil old drink has a way of justifying itself to those that like it just a bit too much unfortunately.

Drunk and in charge of a vehicle; thats disgracefull. Thank the Mods Of The .Org (gods) he only injured himself, and didnt take anyone (innocent) down with him.
Deserved the off? No.
Deserved getting caught & put through the courts? Certainly. It's just that the off was the means to the end.
I hope he heals well, and then gets shafted in court. :)
Deserves everything coming his way.
Selfish, inconciderate and totally irresponsible.

:( sorry to hear he learnt not to drink and ride in such an awful way, and sorry for family to as it sounds like he may have ruined a wedding too.
Hope he heals quickly but I hope that the courts give him what he deserves and he learns from it.
Glad noone else was involved !! Sure he is beating himself up enough by now
as far as i'm concerned he deserved everything he got and i hope they throw the book at him hopefully jail and disqualification for life..
reason... he could have killed someone e.g. a kid
drink driving is a no no in my book.. and anyone that does it is a to$$er...

if he does get a ban is he the sort of person to ignore it and carry on driving/riding?
Quite honestly some people don't learn anything until it goes ouch a lot. Sometimes that's to the wallet or sometimes a bit harsher however, in my opinion actions have consequences.
Luckily in this situation the consequences could have been much more severe, should another party have been involved.
As others have expressed, I hope he gets well soon so the courts take him to the cleaners.
Nobody deserves to get hurt, even those with $hit for brains.
Well hopefully it will stop him from ever doing it again.
Drink drivers are scum in my opinion....

Hopefully the road rash won't scar his face, but lets hope it scars himself somewhere else, and everytime he sees it, it reminds him of what a fool he was. Hopefully he'll learn by his mistake and never do it again.
I hate drink drivers, I bet his daughter hates him all the more for raining on her wedding too :-(

For this sentence to make sense you need to remove the word old :p
If you drink then drive you deserve the book throwing at you, although I wouldnt wish the accident part on anyone, no matter how stupid.

No matter what someone has done, they don't deserve to crash their bike/nearly die. Throughout all the arguing and the fightings, he's someones Husband and someone's father...
He'll be punished in the courts and that will be that.

no one does deserve that but he was aware enough to know what he was doing and should have known better. the person that he could have easily taken out is always some one's relative too and normally totally innocent.
i don't wish it on many but in a warped sense his actions were not likely to register unless it hurt and hurt someone else in the process (his daughter)
So I hope that he gets the book thrown at him but he probably wont knowing our wonderful justice system.
and if he does get banned - will he stay off the roads ( sorry for darken his creditantials as i don't know him but it has to be ask if drank and drove)
tho I hope he does GWS and has a visbile reminder of his stupidity (and how it ruins the rep for the rest of us)
