Thanks

Change of plan as nothing is selling i'm going to scrap the project and go down another avenue.

I'll PM if anything changes.

Nothing is selling!?

I offered to buy the front wheel, calipers and mounting brackets.

Nevermind. Off to Ebay it is... :(

svdemon
12-05-09, 12:01 PM
I thought you wanted just the brakes?

lawson17
12-05-09, 12:09 PM
I offered to buy the front wheel first, but you didn't want to separate the rim and tyre, which is fair enough. :D

Then I offered to buy the calipers and adapter plates, and the next reply was they weren't for sale anymore. :(

svdemon
12-05-09, 12:15 PM
Thats the problem if i can only sell one item i can't buy the rest of the parts for the conversion so i may as well go down another route.

Can't see the tire being worth much on its own so i'd rather sell with the wheel. £200 is pretty cheap for a good wheel and new tire so i thought that would have gone quicksmart.

lawson17
12-05-09, 12:17 PM
Ok, no problem, but they were listed separately originally.

Righto folks this stuff is back up for sale, the adaptors + calipers are provisionally sold but everything else is available.

Make me an offer on parts or multiples of parts.

Also the front mudguard and clip ons are available.

Cheers

Hi, I tried to PM but wouldn't work...

I just paid $147 for the adapters and pads, so budget is running low for this month. I'll have to get the calipers off ebay next month.

Thanks for holding them though. I would definately have taken them the first time round though. Doh. :(

svdemon
01-06-09, 06:17 PM
You'll need to educate me here, is that the clocks you mean?

andreibax
01-06-09, 06:19 PM

svdemon
01-06-09, 06:32 PM

01-06-09, 07:31 PM
Do you still have the forks?
Would you the sell the forks seperate from the yokes?
Just askin as it saves hassel changing my springs.

svdemon
01-06-09, 07:51 PM
I'd rather not split the forks up as it would be hard to sell individual yokes. Make me an offer i can't refuse!

svdemon
09-06-09, 07:59 PM
Do peeps think i would be better splitting the forks or selling as a package? I'm gonna stick them on ebay asap

injury_ian
09-06-09, 10:42 PM
do you have the plastic reservoir still? (for sale)

svdemon
10-06-09, 08:50 AM
I do but the plastic bracket is broken off the reservoir itself.

Spiderman
10-06-09, 11:42 AM
I'd be interested in the forks without the yokes as my upper forktubes are badly pitted and need replacing.

So you see i only need the upper fork tubes but no way i'm gonna ask you to break them up, lol, just poiting out why i dont need the yokes.

thats assuming these will fit my K5??? I know K3s were always a bit "individual" so i'll need to verify these will fit before i commit.

but the interest is there :)

svdemon
10-06-09, 11:52 AM
Nothing is selling at the minute so i am open to offers on anything!!! I'll get pics of the forks up tonight/tomorrow

Spiderman
10-06-09, 12:23 PM
Thanks but i need to make sure that K3 forks will fit my K5 without issue before i make you an offer.

I've PM'd a man who knows these things so when he's next online i'll know :)

svdemon
10-06-09, 02:43 PM
They are the same http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/Module/Main/TypeID/26/Type/Motorcycle/MakeID/2/Make/Suzuki/YearID/44/Year/2003/ModelID/8083/Model/SV650/GroupID/384854/Group/FRONT_DAMPER_

Spiderman
10-06-09, 02:47 PM
Thnaks i know the forks are the same but i think there is an issue with the speedo sensor and the mounting bolts for the mudguard etc.

Still waiting on a PM from the man who knows but in fairness i think i should tell you that i'm also haggling with CheGuavara for his forks since they are off a K5 and there is no issue there at all.

Dont want you to do all the research and build your hopes up and i go but those, so i thought it only right to tell you.

svdemon
10-06-09, 02:51 PM
No hassle mate, same part number so i can't see them being different but better safe than sorry. I found a lot of tiny differences when i did my GSXR front.

Spiderman
10-06-09, 02:55 PM
Yeh i'd hate to buy em and find out during fitting that i cant fit them cos i need an "odd" spacer, or connector or speedo drive or whatnot.

no fun as you know :)

This seal doesn't look too clever but it doesn't leak at all.

I do but the plastic bracket is broken off the reservoir itself.

All done! Ended up using the SV mudguard with the help of brackets to make it fit. I wish i had tried that before getting a GSXR mudguard and getting it painted!!

svdemon

I don't know mate but i agree its the best one i've seen. Perhaps mototech on here will know as he owned the bike before me.

Bibio
21-06-09, 08:31 PM
well done m8... bet your well chuffed... bet the bike feels a lot better.

i like the way you have cut the rear foot rest hanger very different and thats what its all about 'individuality'... i done the same sorta thing but just cut and ground the foot rest off.

never used the GSXR mudguard you say, gives a pm...

svdemon
21-06-09, 10:04 PM
The only thing is i got the mudguard painted in Candy Grand Blue so i might use it if i prefer it. Doubt i will mind as i like the look of the SV one.

You looking for a GSXR one like?

Bibio
21-06-09, 10:08 PM
