... I'm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osnUB9bUm-E between the two. I'm not going to be able to make the ride/observed run this coming Sunday as I've got family commitments. There'll still be other sessions I guess. Stu, do you learn something completely new at each session? Or can I just re-read the handbook. Realised I already had a copy as my drum teacher's done both IAM and Rospa so had the book lying around.
Is anyone going to spectrum on the bike? Or will all be keeping the GM reputation and be caging it? I guess it would be easier as you wouldn't have the gear to get in and out of...

It's the same every month so you just have to go once. Best to go before rather than after your observed ride

Perhaps we should just try a pub meet again?
That's if a rideout is out of the question.

Shut it you!
I've been old enough for a while, although I guess it may seem that I'm only just old enough as GM meets only happen in summer
Wouldn't make a difference if I wasn't tbh, 'cause I'd never drink and then get on my bike, not even half a pint.. :drink:

From me? Thursday nights weren't good during the term time coming up to my exams as the workload was huge. Now I've left school they should be better.
Mate, you can't expect everyone in the GM to turn up to meets when you don't know what sort of day they've had. Might've had a sh*tty day and not be in the mood.
I said I'd be there if it was definitely going ahead, but it got canceled...
Just out of interest, how many people are there in the GM?

No not from you but this happens everytime, people say they want meets so they get arranged and then people don't turn up etc
Here's an example for you a little while ago the only people that turned up for GM pub meets for a fair few weeks was just me and Stu
How many people? Regulars, occasionals or very rares? Quite a few

I dunno. How many do you remember seeing at the Christmas do? Oh yeah, you weren't there.

Just looked at the date I started this thread, 8th May so pretty much 3 weeks notice and I still ended up texting people on the day to see if they were coming or not.
Doesn't seem to me that people are up for a meet :smt102

No need to get all arsey/sarcy is there? :smt102
That was on 22nd December IIRC. The same day my uncle, who I hadn't seen for 6 years, came back to visit from Vietnam and we had planned a big meal with other relatives for him. So I really am EVER so sorry that I couldn't make it, but TBH I never said I was going. In fact I said I wouldn't be able to make that date in the poll for that reason. Make sure you know what you're talking about before you make a comment like that, yeah?!

To be fair, a lot can happen in 3 weeks...
ENOUGH!!
lets just move on and sort the next one out!! no point in falling out about it. as it happens weekdays were pretty rubbish for us as falc wasn't finishing til 8pm but that is going to change soon but weekend meets would be better.
Tara has spoken! She may stick you in the naughty wardrobe :)

So is 3 weeks not enough time for people to plan things or say they can't make it?

Mate I'm just trying to look at it from a different point of view. I agree with you, 3 weeks is plenty (maybe even too much for some :smt102), but you can't plan your day of the night. Meh, I dunno
Which way's the naughty wardrobe?
