so my brother and me can get out on runs.. yes...
its his bike. who is a fully qualified M/C mechanic but for some reason unknown to me, he gets me to do all the work to his duke... hmmmmm.. but he is coming over tomorrow to help with the install... :smt014
Buy fuel injected.
tell that to my scint brother... :smt110
the duke is a sorta project thing. we are trying to get it back to as standard/original as possible which is becoming rather difficult getting the right parts... try getting 1996 750ss original exhausts..

nice one - you are such a talented individual.
well after a little twiddling with screws and copious amounts of tender loving care.. i can say its well and truly going like a ducati should...
took her to the air strip and let her rip.. 110 indicated on the speedo (take that with a pinch of salt) in third and bottled out at 135 in 5th (she only has 5 gears). it used to top out at 9000 revs but now keeps pulling to 10500 with no probs...
problems started when she started fouling plugs after 500miles then fouling them at tickover... so me being me striped the carbs, low and behold the needle jets and emulsion tubes were well and truly guffed... if that weren't enough some previous owner decided it would be nice to stick the totally wrong needles in.. also the main jets had been upped from a 140 to a 148 so in went the standard jets/needles again..
plugs are now a nice biscuit tan colour..
i must admit that she is still a little rough at tick over which i think is probably the coils on their way out or the HT leads are starting to give up the ghost... or its just that typical ducati sound which to me sounds as thogh she is missing every 5th beat or so..

...in a tumble drier
On a fast cycle...
i would totally agree if it had a dry clutch.. but this baby is one of the more rare wet clutch variety..
its defo missing a spark here and there... goes like a train and starts at the touch of a button.. but something tells me its not right...
