Ah - Is that what that was! I checked my Oz bank account the other day and it had a bonus $900 from Mr Aussie Taxman. :)

Got my tax return to do at the end of June as well, which will be another big rebate as they always taxed me as non-resident, rather than a resident. Plus they give you the rebate within a week of filing the return. I like tax time in Oz :)

I didn't have to do anything. Tax office deposited the $900 into the account filed with my last tax return. Same with my partner.

Here is some eligibilty info. The main one is being a resident for tax purposes, which you only get if you stay with the same company for longer than 6 months i.e rulling out anyone on a working holiday visa.
