Hey guys and gals,

As I did for AR08, I'll be coming in the cage with the dogs (possibly with Stretchies bike on a trailer) so I will not be on the rideout.

Just been chatting to Samnooshka on another thread and though she is not coming to the AR, we're talking about finding a park in the area where we can meet and have a few hours of fun with the dogs.

If there's anyone else coming with dogs or if you're coming with children and fancy a nice day out on the Saturday, let me know here and I'll see what can be sorted out.

All dogs are child friendly (one of mine is a little nervous, but only for five mins, then he's a soft cuddlebucket)

SO........please no comments about not coming if you're not riding.....some of us like to join in even though we can't ride ;)

I'm not sure about parks local to the area but I can easily find out.

However if you and your dogs are interested in long walks there's a lovely coastal path around Maldon and the Heybridge Basin.

There is also a possible small plan in the offing for children but not yet cast in stone but can easily be morphed into the dog plan.

I like your thinking gruntygiggles - it should be fun for everyone coming, riding or not.

There is the boating place near I think, how friendly that will be for dogs I'm not sure. I'm gonna be there during the day as I'm going by train and pushbike. I'll be looking for some entertainment during the day :) (your dogs need not worry though ;), it's Stretchie I want.)

Have found out that Maldon carnival is a bit poopants, so maybe not a good source of saturday fun for those not riding.
there is, however, a large open park in Burnham on Crouch, which has a sort of adult assault course on it. Could be fun!

Looking forward to going to see everyone and will be Lucien's first AR :) Mina enjoyed herself last year getting cuddles from everyone.

Lucien is the softest little boy and loves everyone and everything and Mina adores children, she loves to be hugged and patted by them all day! She lays along our neighbours fence when she hears the baby cry next door, she acts all concerned bless her!

I am still looking for things we can do. It is a shame i we can't stay for the weekend but i have to be in Bournemouth with 2 very clean polished pooches by 9.00 am on the Monday morning... it takes me over 2 hours to groom one dog! and i have a feeling they will need it after coming out to play lol!

Wow, ours get a bath if and when they need it (rolled in fox poo or really stinky from jumping in ponds)....lol

It will be great to have a doggie catch up. Messie mentioned a park nearby, so I'm sure we'll find somewhere suitable.

Can't wait!

Lupo go groomed as and when he needed it... but he was an outdoor dog and was often a challenge to get him to come in and go to bed at bedtime! But then he was a working dog and we never showed him. Mina and Lucien like their comforts and spend the day watching Animal Planet... you think i am joking lol! They like the horse programs best ;)

They are in for a shock in a couple of weeks when their pen turns up for the garden!

Hi,
I may not be riding the AR as I haven't ridden in a while and don't think I will be up to scratch to join in with the ride. I would like to come to the event though, so I may be in need of some company during the day!

Well, Stretchie is doing the ride and I'm not, leaving me with four dogs, so if you want to jump in the discovery with me and walk the dogs with Samnooshka, have some lunch, meet up with the riders for lunch etc....you're more than welcome!

you'll be more than up to par to ride in the rideout, all capabilities are catered for, would be really good to see you out there in the group.

I haven't even ridden the sv on a a normal road yet and it's been months since I even rode it in an industrial estate and even then it was only straight lines!
Doubt Phil will have enoigh time to teach me to ride it before the end of July!
