View Full Version : Finally!
i had an accident in november when i was on a roundabout and a lovely lady thought it would be good to carry on from the juntion straight into my path. I got a letter today saying they have admited liability, and with it a check to get my self a new lid while i wait for the compo money. they gave me the money for the bike a month or so after. just taken them this long to actually admit the liability
hopefully ill get compo through soon which wil see me throught the next few months while i wait to go into the RAF

always good to hear they took the liability for their actions, took long enough though.

i know even when its a giveway they still tried to fight it and i had a witness. o and she drove off and her brother turned up on his supermoto just as i was sorting how to get the bike back. that was 45 mins after the accident

Well done mate! Result :smt069
You'll get a cheque/payment for your injuries/kit seperate from the bike payment, and that one could take months-years.You'll be fine to cash the bike payment cheque, i did with mine and had no issues.
Im still waiting on payment for my injuries & kit (accident was in 2007), they wont pay out for the kit seperate from the injuries payment which is annoying as i wont get any injury payment for awhile yet as they are still on-going :(

Thats ridiculous

Cashing the cheque does not constitute accepting the sum written on it. You can still argue at a later date and then (if successful) they would have to pay the difference.

wooohhh i would kick up a righ roar about that if i havent had an offer in a couple of weeks im going to kick off, i payed for my legal cover as well so im going to utilise it.
if i was you i would phone them up, and tell them you give them 10 days to get a payment offer, if not then get your insurance to take them to court either that will scare them into giving you the money if not then go to court and get the money out of them. remember you pay the inurance compnay to do this for you so if they raent doing it then give them a ick up the cooter
chompy
I work for a bike ins co so i know how it all works ;)
Ive had a offer but turned it down as my injuries havent fully healed so my solicitor has told them i need to be re-assesed and then see what offer they make next, be patient mate, it can take YEARS, im annoyed about the non payment of my kit but they wont release that as a seperate payment from the inury payment (good job i dont need it!) and yes i ahve asked them to-several times
