I'm in the process of tidying up the rear end on the Daytona and will probably need to make an exhaust hanger from scratch.

Has anyone else done this and if so what is a reasonable thickness of mild steel (or maybe stainless-but it will be painted) that can be bent easily enough by hand and withstand the weight of a small number plate hanger?

I have the hanger almost ready which is a modified original so would like to be able to weld it onto the hanger.

Any thoughts or suggestions will be gratefully received.

BTW there isn't a SINGLE solution out there which would fit my need that can be bought off the shelf. The solution to hanging the can Scorpion came up with looks like a bodge job of the highest order.

Like all things the actual shape/ load it has to carry and construction will dictate the thickness of the material you use n any given situation.

Have a word with me at Soho and I'll see if I can sort you out an answer to your problem.

Cheers Mark.

I made a tail tidy for my t595 Tona which looks great. I'm guessing yours is later bike with the later back end though.
I think I have the template I made still if it is any use to you, or could send you some pics. I used 3mm Ali.
As for the Zorst bracket it's one of those things that hard to coment on until you've seen the job at hand fpr yourself.
