View Full Version : Stolen - Hannspree CBR
Hi there!! Ex-SV owner, possibly to be back on one again though due to the following :(
Stolen at 4am from outside the girlie's house in Lambeth. I got woken up by the sound of my (slightly deadened) alarm and didn't even make it across the room in time to see the van door being shut and it fly off :( Unreal. Lightning fast, pro job no doubt...and i'd estimate a 0.001% chance of it ever showing up again.
Ah well...in case any of you lovely people spot it on the road, there ain't many of them. It's got a rather distinctive scrape mark on the lower right casing (rather embarrasing late night unlit car park incident), please feel free to pull the rider off and kick 2 shades of sh*t out of him (or her!).
I seriously loved that bike :(

Wow.. that sucks... Remember to always use a ground anchor or tie it to something non moveable with a big heavy bloody chain!
Will keep an eye out for you, post this on the CBR owners site as well.. best wishes getting it back!
Reg number would help..

tbh if they were pro's that did it wouldnt have stopped them getting it slowed them down yeah definitely may have gave enough time to hear the alarm and give them a smack round the chop's anyway i'll keep an eye out for it.

May sound silly but have you contacted the insurers and the police already?
Tbh on something like that a tracker would be a good idea..

Beautiful bike mate,gutted for ya....hope you(& they!!)get sorted:(
To answer the earlier question, yeah it was rear chained and front disclocked...but it was a pro hit so nothing short of it having a policeman sitting on it would have stopped it. I reckon it had a duvet slung over it before being simply thrown in a (probably refrigerated or sound proofed) van. From the moment I heard the alarm, I was at the front window in less than 10 secs and the van had alread gone. Incredible :(
And yeah, perhaps a tracker would have been useful...next time eh!!
That's my 2nd one as well!! First one got written off by a dozy driver 20 hours after I took it out the showroom. At least I had this one 12 months before last night!! Got some mileage and fun out of it...sigh. Honda only made 130 or so of the buggers for the UK and I seem to be slowly working my way through them!!
The real question here is...do I break up with the girlfriend and find a new one who lives in a safer area? :) I mean, this is blatantly all her fault...

If they were pros then trying to give them a smack probably would have ended up with him in A&E.

Sorry to hear that, hope it gets recovered or your insurance company sends you a new one! It's scary how easily bikes can be stolen despite security devices. Apparently cbrs are the most commonly stolen bikes...jealousy is a terrible thing!
Beautiful bike, one of the best racing colour schemes that ive seen on a Honda outside of the HRC colours.
posted on mcn ninjas for you, seems theres a gang stealing bikes round (ish) that area in a white van; see here:

Gutted for you mate, looks a lovely bike. Fingers crossed you get a suitable replacement (like the Duke in the background).

Sorry to hear about your bike - I sat on a Hannspree at the bike show and have to say the paint job is ace and was very tempted despite only have the SV a couple of months.
I wont keep my bike at home because the area has too many chavs about walking the streets all night, high on something and mainly our friends from Eastern Europe.

Sorry to hear about this though, it must be a nightmare owning anything nice in london, you pay through the nose for insurance and for good reason it seems :(
