I have a hankering to buy one of these as I don`t fancy having a "Full On" laptop , I like the fact they are very slim and portable and have a good battery life , it is going to be used for surfing and mail on the move (if I decide to get a Mobile Internet USB Dongle) . Does anyone on here have one and any pitfalls with it ?

I have a NC10. Battery life is amazing, a real 6 hours. Mouse pad thing is a bit annoying, but easier if you turn off the 'enhancements'.
No niggles, its quiet, does the job I bought it for; i.e. quick surf now and then, lightweight jobs etc.
Main thing I like it for is that its a capeable enough machine I can chuck in my bag and know its going to work when I need it.

Yeah the Pad is what put me off the NC10 , plus with the 20 I get a bigger screen , the NC10 was what caught my eye originally . It looks like I get all the pluses of the 10 without the somewhat minor annoyances .

review I read just, (as I didn't know there was a NC20), PC Pro, doesn't really rate it above the NC10. It knocks the screen quality, but I dont know why as I think its superb.

Screen quality on the 20 is supposed to be a gnats whisker better than the 10 and all reviews of the 10 said it had a good screen with minimal glare . I suppose the resolution of the 20 is what makes it a bit clearer as I can see it being the same screen but just 2 inches bigger .

Performance wise does it do exactly what it says on the tin ?

Umm well I bought it to replace an ASUS linux jobbie, just for lightweight browsing etc, so I don't push it. Battery life and connectivity was important to me, and it doesn't dissappoint there.

Sounds spot on , I won`t be using it for anything other than browsing and mail to be honest , much what I use this PC for , but I want to take this one offline and keep it as a dedicated Music PC for recording my tracks and stuff .
