Not being funny, but who cares if its been posted before? I hadn't seen it until two seconds ago, and your not obliged to look at every post.

Trying not to sound like a kn*b, but just bcoz a few of you have seen it doesn't mean us newbs arn't interested.

Not quite my cup of tea tho ;)

It's not a major issue, but it should be kept to a minimum, imho. The odd accidents do happen, and thats fine - however doing a quick search before posting would allow the would-be OP to put his opinion in an existing thread.

The other alternative is to have loads of threads about the same thing, which is ugly and unmanageable, and would put people off using this forum.

So what should the OP have searched for? The word Fischer was not used anywhere in the other thread, nor SV based sportsbike.
I think this highlights that people should use clear descriptive thread titles rather than jumping down peoples throats saying it's another Hitler bike post.
I previously saw the thread title American SV but was not interested in seeing what some american owner of an SV had done to his bike so I did not open it. Whereas, this sportsbike based on an SV looks fantastic :D

Well, it is a hitler bike post - i don't think anyone jumped down anyone's throat though - sorry if it was taken that way. I tried to make it amusing rather than accusative. However if its not labelled as a hitler bike thread, how are others to know that there's a previous post on the same subject?

The odd duplicate subject post will happen, its inevitable, and i don't find it a major problem. Your observations about the thread title I agree with. Perhaps a new thread would be the place to discuss this?

Sorry, I did see a couple of amusing Hilter references :) then it seemed to resort name calling.

I didnt mean to start anything! Sorry.

Just an observation. You don't have to take any interest in any thread. If you look at the OP and decide you are uninterested or have seen it before...move on. Don't post. People who are interested will discuss.

------

I think the bike is interesting, looks a bit like a Duke. Mustard colour is an interesting choice.

I see your point, but by letting the OP know there is another thread where the issue has already been discussed, may mean they get a quicker answer.

Ooh now I can see other angles I quite like it, other than the rear I think - I don't like the width of the seat and the way it splits in 2 lol...I also don't like the way the top of the exhaust isn't covered. So basically, new rear plastics and I'd really like it :D

How come the right side of the swing arm is a banana but the left side isin't  Black frame/Silver frame - some preproduction model photos I think
Does it have no front indicators? or are they in the headlight cowl?
I don't mind the seat & that the exhaust is open to the top :) it's different & purposeful, would prefer a shorter exhaust tho', the length of the plastics.

whats with all these threads, couldn't anyone link em all into the original one in the photo section??

Well I don't like that sidestand, trust me, its too upright. Much experience of that damn Raptor stand has taught me.....a slight breeze and it wobbles like a git, smashing it up when it falls over! In fact breath on it, that'll be enough.

I'd still have one, as its different looking. If only they could come over here!

YEah, anyway, back on topic.......

Its not bad, its the bike they should have built as an optional upgraded bike. Think is i'd always be aching for just a bit more power. A 90-100bhp SV700 engine would be much nicer. Good suspension and brakes though, stylings a little iffy and "jagedy" for me though. I like the tail and exhaust :)

It makes me giggle how US sports bike manufacturers (like Buell) completely forget about rear lights. They spend all the time and money designing and styling every little detail and then go ......ooppps forgot to design a rear light. I'll pop down Halfords, buy a fog light for a japanese import car and fit that!

From certain angles I think it looks wicked - not keen on the rear though

Looks good, nice engine too, designers obviously seen the RC8 though :p

Got to admit, I did think 'Oh FFS' with the hilter bike thing, it did seem to resort to name calling, but on reflection it was only posted 3 times before BournemouthBen raised it.

Sure use the Hitler bike thing for a bit of a running joke, but if 2 or 3 folk have already said it then it's not funny anymore, and certainly don't berate anybody who's posted something thats been posted before (just a comment, not suggesting that anybody has here).

I don't search before I post a new thread unless I'm asking a bike related question where I think the answer might already be on the forum.
