Yes I know, but yesterday I actually watched a program on mainstream daytime TV that I really enjoyed, it was well written, well acted and I found it extremely thought provoking and at times quite uncomfortable viewing.

Brief synopsis

A father attempts to toughen up his son but, in doing so, finds he unleashes a chain of events that look impossible to stop.

Ken is a husband and father who wants the best for his family. He works hard at the local factory and does well at his job. Ken's disappointed that his son, Andrew, isn't more like him and encourages him to be tougher, but he doesn't realise that his actions may very well destroy his family.

I got bullied at when I was a kid really badly its made me think about what happend to me when I was a kid again, I found myself thinking about it all again and its left me feeling quite unsettled today and I've realised that for along time the bullying and how I reacted to it has effected my relationship with my parents oh well its only taken my 20 odd years to work that out...

Why is it that when the BBC really try they can make a good program, and why is it to we suffer the rest of the drivel that it and ITV do turn out normally...

Its on Iplayer at the moment, IMHO its well worth a watch.

I think they have one on every day this week, if its the one on after Doctors at 2.15. I watched Mondays about a lady who found love with a Hindu man, and all the stereotypical repercussions from her family. Was a good play. The BBC run these things once a year, for a week. I've always enjoyed them.

Must see this - it took me 20 years to admit to myself that I was bullied at home & at school.

It makes it easier to deal with the urge to take a golf club to the face of anyone pushing their luck... ;)

Just watched, moving storyline I thought. Certainly makes you think. I experienced a bit of bullying at school, more the verbal than the physical side though, girls are real bitches :-(
