Due to the morbid nature of my previous thread (and that I'm bored as feck). Thought I'd do a thread with a lighter nature.

When travelling along the motorway and passing chevrons, you know those little bumps painted into the white line?

Well...

Anyone ever noticed that during filtering so your speed is just about right its quite a pleasent suprise as you ride along the line?

Do you mean the warning bumps/lines to warn people the're straying off the motorway? cos the lines between the lanes only have cats eyes and are just damn annoying.

Yeah you get those same ones at chevrons as you merge onto the motorway.
Well I think they are the same as the ones at the edges, they look the same.

Not the central line with cats eyes, no no no thats not nice hate those things. (fun to slalom though)

Just be carefull, all the rubbish on the motorway tends to collect on the rumble strip. Those same bumps that give you such a cheap thrill catch all sorts!

We get so many punctures at work 'cos we're always on and off the hard shoulder - which also has it's fair share of detritus I know, but those bumps act like a crud catcher for sharp things.

On an even more worrying point, if you cross that solid white line at the junction, you *could* get three points and a £60 fine off a very harsh traffic Cop. :smt104

Im gonna have to get that highway law book thing, cos Im finding out all sorts on here that I never knew.

Did you know those signs on the side of the road that have numbers in? well if you bike has a bigger number on its speedo then you get done for that some times too!

Seriously though, genuinly didnt know you could get points for cutting a chevron. I do it daily as it keeps me further away from the cueing traffic.
