As per Ed's post...............After a really crap couple of months, a 12.5% pay cut, then being put on the at risk of redundancy list I have managed to land myself a new job :D :D :D :D

Went for the interview last friday after my CV was pinched off of monster without me even knowing it was on there......then went for what I though was a second interview this morning and was offerd the job there and then :cheers:

Its a right nice pay increase and the company car I get is 10 x better than my current company car.

I'm so shocked at how quick its all happened and I can now go on the Peaks long weekend and planned euro trip :-D:-D

Just need to sort my kerry out now :( thats the only downside.

G, congrats!

Not only a new job, but a long bank holiday weekend to celebrate!

Hope that it is all you hope for, even though your current job was carp with the pay cut etc. leave on good terms, never burn your bridges, never know what is round the corner.
Well done.

PS no chance of a company bike instead of company car i suppose? just a thought.

I would never burn my bridges, I really do like where I work and 'some' of the people I work with, but I started working there from straight out of University all those years ago so was always 'the graduate'

Then the paycut when I was no where near the going market rate for what I do was the final straw, especially when I was told I may be made exempt from it until the very last minute.

Company bike would be out of the question doing what I do lol, my current employer took a dim view of it when I did my test :bom:

Congrats G! What is it that you do then?

I've recently been put on the "at risk" list as well and its a bit of a bummer because I really like the company I work for and especially my team...okay, the works manager is old-school(still a top bloke though, just has a temper the length of my hair) but the rest of the team and an excellent bunch of blokes.

Glad you got a good job though.

Great news mon frond. Happy for you.

P.S. I'm trying to get a rough geusstimation of the costings for Europe to see how many trips and track days i can get in before then. :D

P.P.S Might be an idea if we all did rough costings and compared to see how they compare...

Congrats, I am still in the search for a good job after being made redundant. I am working now but it is just a stop gap until I find something better.
