Hi Guys - and Girls,
My literally brand new All Black 2009 58 reg SV650S Sport K9 is for sale.
Insanity struck and I went off and bought a harled davidson FXSTI. How smart That was.. I dont know  Bought the sv brand new from Sturdey Motorcycles south London
It's been run in really really carefully. I'ts absolutely 100% (..101), not a single tiny scratch anywhere.
It has a dealer fitted Meta (£350 incl cert), Scorpion SS can with removabel baffle (£210), Black Rear hugger (£70), the Inforad M1 (http://www.buyinforad.com/) (incl lifetime updates) nicely mounted in the dash (£60) + the mandatory pyramid fender extender and a tankpad .. Identical bike is around £5700-£5800 from the dealer.. I just taxed it a week ago for for another 12 months. (until may 2010)
I'ts been Used obviously, but has been kept clean and Scottoiler FS 365 has been applied all over after each wash (seriously), its totally corrotion free.
As mentioned in the title, the price is £4450. I'm not incredibly keen on reducing it any further as I think I've dropped it enough already...
But as with everything else: It can be discussed..
I got all papers, service book with stamps, keys, meta certificate etc etc.
Everything the Suzuki dealer gave Me.
This SV has been owned by what some would call "an Adult" -
it's my 3rd bike here in the UK. The new owner will be Well Pleased.
Please ring me if your'e interested.

Its in MCN now - for 6 weeks.
haha. i think i shot myself in the leg this time. Havent heard from a Single buyer - except from 143 scammers and "32 vehcile matching companies" What A Pest They Are!!
So - nobody seems to want to treat themselves with a new sv ..
Thats is odd? A new sv650s k9 sport is 4999 at the cheapest dealer, + 150 otr, 350 for the meta, 200 for the can.. thats £5700. I Can't believe Nobody out there would like to save +- £1200?? Any comments?
Is it the resession?? does it sound to good to be true? do i ask too much!?
is it my spelling mistakes?? :-(
the best help would be if you took it off my hands of course (i'll give you a 100 off), but any advice on what to write, or where to advertice, would be apprechiated too.

I'm sure I saw a brand new sport going for £3999 in Stratstone(ex Powersports) at Clay Cross a short while ago. Granted, it didn't have the extras that your bike has.

I think it's most likely to be the first two, as your english is a lot better than my norwegian...;)
Accesories rarely increase used values, and the recession means that the buyer usually has the upper hand when negotiating prices and extras on new machines, I would be surprised if a suitably tight fisted brit couldn't haggle a new bike out of a dealer in the current climate for your asking price, obviously that won't have extras but most people won't want all the bits you did
If you're not desperate to sell then wait and see, it's only worth what someone will pay for it, but 6 weeks without a single bite should tell you the price isn't attracting the buyers:(
As a rough stab in the dark i'd say with none of the extras it would get buyers interested at around ~£3850, sell the extras separately and make up some of the difference, but then it's been several months since i was watching the used SV market and prices may have risen or fallen since then

hehe. cheers both :-)
.. well - I guess I'll just sit on the fence for a while. I would assume if someone were interested they would ask if'd lower it a tad - which I could i guess. a £100 or so, the weird thing is that nobody has even rang. aaanyway. worst case scenario is that i end up with a Like New SV and a Like New Softail. haha not the worst combination... (then i just need a KTM, a honda Blackbird and maybe an Ural to complete the collection, ok and an r6) I still think every biker needs at least 3  - so i guess Im almost there..
I'll post what I sold if for and how long it took (when and if..)

You cheered me up bytheway :-) buying the harley wasnt really that thought through, but are getting a bit grumpy about not being able to sell such a great machine. really didnt expect it to be a problem.
but -as you both said- def. a matter of price... Problem is I'd rather give it to a mate for free, than really cheap to a greedy b##strd.
what could be worse.. ? a greedy friend maybe..
ok enough rant :-)

I'll be your mate! :)
Tbh you'd be better off taking as much of the bits off it as you can, sellling it as stock and selling the parts on fleabay. If you want money that's how you'll make the most.
you'll only get an extra £300 over an equivalent standard bike (you're looking at mid-high £3ks for a promptish sale)
Anyway uhh GL with the sale, when you put it in MCN next time put "no scammers/agencies"...
Oh btw a new gladius is £4500 so I have no idea where you're getting £5-6k from.
Put it back to stock, sell the extra's and lower that price.
I easily could get a new SV for the price you're selling it at.
I think about £3600-£3800 for this bike.

heyho.
The list price (http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/bike/sv650sk9s/) for the k9 Sport is now £5100, most dealers are selling it for 4999. + £150 OTR. hence, a new stock bike is £5150.
Its a campaign going for the moment, £5100 at 0% finanace. + otr.
Thats £5250....
If you find it cheaper it would likely be a k8 or the the naked/half faired version.
A meta alarm is 350, the scorpion is 210.
adding up to just abaove £5700 - or more.
... so - i guess im looking for someone that would like a new sv with an alarm and exhaust as they will soon find that it adds up to almost £6k...

heyho (II)
.. hmm. yes. I guess 4450 is a little high
I'll be dropping it to £4150. 'hope that helps
I had another "vehicle matching company" ringing today. I assume you all know them - HOW can they be allowed operating such a business in a civiliced country like this F##kin el :spiderman: IF I could grab hold of one of them
I guess the best way of stopping them is to pretend you're very interested and waste As Much of their time as possible: Battery running out on the phone "ring back..", detailed anal questions about "when and how", wrong card details, make several canges to make and model, etc etc until the guy after 2 hours is Steamin'. Then you tell him to go and F## himself. haha. I'll def. do that the next time they ring.
I managed to upset myself now, so i'll go and have a whisky and a cigarette ;)
have a good sunday guys

Sorry mate but I don't think that's generally how it works. Not many people pay anywhere near list price for new bikes. The only thing selling at list price at the mo is probably the 09 R1 as they are new and desirable. Walk in to George Whites and you can get a ZX-6R with extras for £5500 on finance.... similarly, negotiation will get you a new GSX-R600 for under £6k.
Yours looks like a very nice bike but you can get a new SV650 sport for around £4k so even with the extras that's about all you're looking at for second hand, even then people will probably want some discount off the new price. Good luck with the sale though :smt001

heyho guys,
yeah - sally and carty were right.. :pale: ;)
I just parted with my sv last week. £3700. So there we go - im working on my 04 harley softail for the moment - hoping to join the queue soon (haha - its not quite as narrow as a sv..)
For the record - i guess you can get 3800-4000 for a k9 sv650s sport with alarm/exhaust/hugger if you got a little more time. I was just too broke- and was facing the end of the summer+a service, new tires etc - so decided to go slightly lower just to get it done....
I took off the inforad M1 bytheway, so if anyone wants it..?

..i'll post a new topic on this in a sec
thanks to everyone for your advice and kind words.
SV on!
