Yes I do hate furry animals, saw a pheasant up Whitby on Tuesday in my mums car and told it to stay where it was...I mean come, I was in a cage!
I prefer venison pie...more substantial, not tough as old boots either:king:

Dunno about Barmouth, will see what mechanical carnage appears when I pull top end in bits to check out what's rattling around.

If I remember right (been more than a few years) isn't that the one off the end of the A44; that you go down the valley cross the bridge, follow the road round to the other big reservior, then have to come all the way back as it dosn't go anywhere ?
or is it somewhere else and I've got it wrong ? seems to ring a bell or two though :smt102
Cheers Mark.

Thanks Quiff :-), it has been nice having the time to do things. I must frantically pack and clean today though, only one night left in Aberystwyth :(
Bibio and Rictus, will get Chris to google the route for you when I've finished up on the laptop ;) The route does come out a dead end if you don't happen to want to go to Aberystwyth. We conveniently found a mountain road taking us to Devil's Bridge which was a nice surprise and turned out to be an amazingly fun road. We practically had it to ourselves too, thursday afternoons are a good time for bimbles!!
just out of curiosity, could you post up a google maps route... please...

well apart from your start, seems my memory wasn't that bad, I done that about 21 years ago, from there I went down the A470 and across a great little B road (b4358) at Newbridge to get to the Brecon beacons off the A483.
Arrrrh memories....
Cheers Mark.

Great pics and really pleased you posted them. Riding in same area in a few Saturdays time with bro and a mate and will be our first trip to Wales. I have a 270 mile route plotted that takes in A4120, B4574, B4343 among many others and now just keeping fingers crossed for dry weather.
Any tips for the area? We also going down the coast and onto A482 to head through the National Park.

Have fun, watch out for sheep and pork. There can be plenty of both.
