Hey,

I have a set of extended mirrors - look exactly standard but with a neatly machined block at the bottom thats 20mm or so thick.

I want a set of standard mirrors, so if someone wants a wider set then I'd love to do a swap.

Or I can sell them for around the price of some aftermarket standard ones.

I've tried to take the blocks off but cant for some reason.

Gavid, do you have pics? would be interesting in buying them off you. What price are you after?

Not trying to be funny but the blocks are probably chewys extenders and as such should come off relatively easily, unless whoever put them on glued them in place. Chewys ones (without actualy measuring) are about 1.1/4" thick iirc, If they are fitted to oem mirrors its the only explanation i can think of, if its sopergoue s sharp whack should break the glue and seperate the pieces.
then you could send the blocks to slloyd (cheaper postage)

How much do you want for them? Need a right hand mirror, but would take these off your hands. The mirrors and the blocks if your selling them all.

These are bonded to the actual mirror as part of it - if they are extenders I can't get them off!!

Obviously a curvy whereas i'm familar with the pointy, however they doo look very like mine so will stick eith my origina; prognosis, take them off give them a whack and they shoild seperate, or if you have a vice stick them in there and twist.

Although this may be entirely wrong and these may be an aftermarket replacement but dont think so.

If you take them off there is a grub screw wound up the thread in the extender - and that is so tight that it feels it will round out

do yours have a grub screw in the assembly? I'd love to just pop them off!!

No mine are purely held in place by the bolts which fix the mirror to the bike.

See if this helps.

This looks like the chickens!

I'll see if I can get them off again now I know how they go together.

You're a legend in a kilt (although not as much as my dad who looks a bit like sean connery - a bit of useless info for you there)
