Hello all,

For sale is my red K6 SV650S. She has a tad under 16.5k on the clock, in good condition and taxed until the end of July this year. Her first MOT is due in August this year.
She is well cared for, and lives in a garage when not in use. The reason for sale is that I am after something comfier, perhaps a Bandit 600 or Fazer 600.

There is about £247.28 finance owing (give or take), which I will pay off instantly should she sell. It's 0%, so no point doing it if not.

She is fully serviced, with the last being at 14.5k miles, including valve clearances etc, all of which were fine, and the usual oil/fluid/filter changes, including a pair of nice Bridgestone dual-compound tyres. The servicing is done by myself and my father-in-law, who is an ex bike dealer/mechanic of 30 years, hence no service history bar the first two services. I do keep a log of all the work that has been done.

The good bits:

Datatool alarm and immobiliser (dealer fitted) with spare fob and keys
Full Suzuki fairing
R&G Crash Protectors
Dark double-bubble screen (think it's Powerbronze - not sure though)
Fuel road legal stainless end can (I also have the original)
Optimate plug fitted (plugged in when in garage)
Uprated bulbs (Osram Nightbreakers - very bright and shiny)
Sidelights replaced with (tasteful) LED ones when one blew
EBC Sintered pads at 11k miles
NGK Iridium plugs at 14.5k miles
ACF50'd in most places the nozzle will reach
All calipers rebuilt and greased/cleaned at 11k miles
Brand new steering head bearings (thanks to the bumpy Berkshire roads)
Stainless steel engine bolts and many others
Everything greased as it should be, not left bone dry as standard. Most bolts copper greased following removal or replacement.

The not so good bits

Tiny (tiny) chip in paint on the tank (from jovially slapping tank with a wedding ring on)
Small scratch on rear pillion handle (from wayward bungee cord hook)
Usual small marks/chips on wheels from 16.5k miles use
Cracked splash guard (?) attached to bottom yoke (stops crud getting thrown up it - only a bit of plastic about 6cmx10cm)
The chain and sprockets could do with a change at the next service - I have a new set in the garage, just not the time to fit them at the moment.
Slight scuffs to swingarm paint from paddock stand use.
Scuffs to top yoke from disclock key (you'd think the paint was water based on these things)
The bike used to have mini-indicators and a tail tidy fitted - I got rid of all these and put it back to standard ages ago - and sold all that stuff (on here actually). This meant fiddling with the wiring, which is now back to standard.
Way back in 2006 (with 1k on the clock) she was dropped at low speed (thankyou uninsured Eastern European driver - god bless the EU). Fully repaired by a dealer under insurance - just plastics and exhaust scuffed - all replaced. Never dropped or dinged since.

That's it. I have been as honest as possible. She's not perfect, but then she has been used in all weathers, and travelled to Ireland, Wales, and lots of England (but not Scotland - sorry).
I can throw in a Haynes manual, original screen, original index plates and exhaust (although you will need a link pipe to fit it from eBay or Fuel).

£2200

Yes she is still for sale at £2200. Not willing to budge on the price mind, it's already low enough

And while I'm at it, the reason for sale is because I need something more comfortable. I would consider a swap, with a little money either way, for the right bike, although I am quite picky.

I am after a more upright bike or larger bike, and if this sells will be looking at getting a Bandit/Fazer/Hornet, even looked at a Deauville and a V-Strom. Anything which doesn't crucify my wrists to be fair.

If only the Bonneville had a 6th gear

Bump - now taxed 6mths, and finance paid off.

Plus a few miles extra on the clock.
