Hi just checked my tps and it seems to move around 3800rpm. So gonna have a play with it next week when my nice 40p torx bit arrives. Just wanted to check has anyone tried it on a k8 as i recall a previous poster saying there are 2 tps units on the newer models. Just checked under the tank and can see 2, 1 is slightly lower and vertical the other is above it and to the left in a horizontal position. Do they both get adjusted or is it just the lower one?
Thanks

Do a search on TPS Adjustment. Coombest has done an excellent Step-by Step Pictorial Guide. To answer your question, its the lower one that you adjust.

Yeah but my tps's look different to that there like grey blocks.
Think Bibio but he was told to adjust them both
Any 1 have any experience with a k8?

The top TPS is the Secondary Throttle Valve (Top) (SDTV - Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) which is Actuated by the ECU... and the Primary Throttle Valve (bottom) TPS is actuated by the user throttle input. So you only need to adjust the lower TPS. This is all explained pretty thoroughly in the 'TPS Adjustment Step-by Step Pictorial Guide'. The first part of the thread deals with the curvy but if your patient and read the whole thread (which is very instructive anyway) you will get to parts relevant to the pointy.

basically from my lack of knowledge its that most suzukis run dual throttle injectors, tps is throttle position sensor. When you get to a certain rpm the tps tells the ecu to open up the 2nd set of butterflies(again may have the names wrong but hope you get what i mean) over time or from the factory most seem to be not set correctly causing the bike to not run very good before the 2nd lot of valves i opened up
that picture is from when i was asking about doing it on a K8..
the correct answer is the bottom one is the TPS and its this one you want to adjust..
the top one is the STPS and you leave that one alone...
