I cured the SV numb bum problem by swapping it for an R6. Your method sounds cheaper.

was a bit of a pain in the bum to do .. but i hope that will be the last pain in the bum..

word of caution.. dont buy the stanley electric stapler in b&q coz they are crap..

so far it feels nice but weird, haven't gone for a run yet, will let you all know how i get on later...

would love an R6 but i would wipe myself out with one of those, i'm bad enough with the SV... besides its cost me a small fortune to get the bike low enough for me to feel comfy, i plan on keeping the bike for a looooooong time, so i'm trying to get it as good as it gets.. :-)

for those that are interested, i went out for about an hour on pretty rough roads. considering my bum bones were sore and i have a rotten cold the pad felt quite good. its pretty weird stuff, squashy but supportive. its hard to describe. i never got any sorer. i will mention one thing i did notice , it got quite warm under the bum and it moulded nicely to my bum shape..

Problem I found with Gel seats is that you have to lift your **** to move around the bike, can't slide anymore.
