I have just fitted a 16 tooth front sprocket on my K7, what a difference it makes. I now find it much smoother at cruising speeds and it seems much more relaxed. Try it, they only cost a tenner. you will like it.

ah well, on the plus side, your MPG will be much improved, on the neg side you're in danger of falling asleep...

Isn't 4500 at 60 relaxed enough? :p What's it pulling now?

I still miss 75mph in 1st that you get from most big capacity IL4's

I am off to tour Italy in a few weeks so i fitted the 16 tooth sprocket to make the long haul down there a bit more relaxed. It still pulls well enough to make it enjoyable. I fitted a 14 tooth for the TT, it was in the red in top gear on the run down to brandish.

Nope, smoother throughout, faster at the top for same RPM, if u want faster acceleration, drop a cog..........simple, did I mention 50+ mpg all round ????

true, 14 tooth front is fun around town, but I think for my next set I'll go naked ratios, one extra tooth on the back
