Phew, another re-org, another escape. Head down and crack on for another few years I think.

Just come to the end of an uncomfortable time of uncertainty at work with re-orgs, head count reduction etc etc. I've luckily come out of it with more responsibility and a slightly higher level of pay grade.

Hopefully with the downturn slowing recently that should see me through.

Congratulations for surviving it.

I start a new a job on Monday myself, i jumped rather than being pushed though after a 12.5% pay cut, company cars becoming worse than they already were and general atmosphere.

thanks, it was a close call but thankfully over with now.

To be honest, it was the uncertainty of not knowing either way that was the worst part. I wish they would just get on with it and tell people.

im looking for a new PhD at the moment; I'm leaving my current one, as its really not working out for me. I don;t want a career in medicinal chemistry, even though it seemed like a great idea 9 months ago.

here's hoping theres something for me in the ones to do with fuels that are being advertised at the moment...
