View Full Version : So, Men!

Is it me or are some men just AMAZING????

I've known a fair few duds, lying b'tards hypocrytical b'tards, cheating b'tards etc, but then........

Last January, this guy called Dan moved in with me and has turned out to be the most amazing person I have ever known. He's always doing little things to make me smile and laugh. He always wants to make sure I'm happy and loves that I do it for him too. He's not the usual "knows everything" guy......he's much better at everything than he would have people believe.

I just sit here sometimes and wonder what I ever did to deserve someone that makes me so damn happy.

So.....we all know there are men around that aren't worth the air they breathe.....but come on ladies........time to praise our gorgeous men and let them know we love them.

Sick bags can be provided if you're allergic to gay soppy lovey dovey stuff.........but men get a hard time too often.......some are losers, but Stretchie for one is just the best a girl could ever wish for.

I love you Stretchie xxx

And go to the Stretchie school of being a dude and looking after your woman with a mixture of banter, cuddles, being annoying and then an unashamed creep afterwards, demanding beer only to give in and get it yourself when said woman gives you, "the look" and yes.....buying her a really lovely little bike helps too!

I've met Stretchie,

He's awesome. I was a hood-ornament for a car he was driving for a bit, and I believe he organised the dowery for transferring Anna to the Soho massive for a box of little cakes. Which we won big on by not having to pay anyone in Portugal cakes to send her there;)

That said, he's a bloke and, by and large, they turn me right off. So it's probably for the best he's ended up with you.

Serious note from me - On a comment to Stretchie's awesome-ness.

June/July 2007, floods all over the country, Hovis convinced me to go to AR07, only so he couldn't turn up :toss: I got there very early, sat down, Coffee in hand with Bacon Roll, shaking like a leaf because I was about to go for a weekend away with a complete bunch of strangers that may not like me. Heard the roar of bikes turn up, Baph at the front with the others, Stretchie was the first to come and say hello and we just kept chatting. We continued to have laughs over the weekend (he must remember Tim Wilky almost falling over backwards?).

The only sighting of me and him together...

That's my boy. My Auntie Judith has had a hard few years with a husband committing suicide and her daughter dying at 16....only to then be broken into and beaten VERY badly (losing teeth, hair and needing lots of stitches) in her home very late one evening after her son returned to Uni.
She's all of 4'11", is a recovering alcoholic (turned to the bottle in grief) and is as frail as frail can be. The first time I took Stretchie to meet her, he did the usual kiss on the cheek when we got there and by the time we left.........I said goodbye with a hug and a kiss and Dan got the biggest cuddle I've seen my auntie give anyone for a long time. She told us how she'd love to see him in his leathers, so next time we went....took the bike and she was like a teenager again, giggling at him while he stood there posing and lunging by the bike.
A few months later we had to go to a family funeral which, obviously, Judith doesn't cope with well........so Dan put his leathers in the boot of the car. When it was getting a bit much for her at the wake.....he took her to the car and I don't know what he said or did, but she came back in with him, arm in arm with a massive smile on her face and told me that I'd found myself an angel!

He's going to hate me praising him like this....but for all the help and support he's given me over grief, troubles and the like...he does it for everyone and truly does bring happiness to people. My whole family adore him....

And so do i! :smt008

its great that so many of us have great things to say about our other halves.

Mine is wonderful, at the moment i am carrying a little extra weight ;) and he's been giving back massages and foot rubs and never stops telling me how much he loves me and how sexy i look (even tho i am now the size of a baby elephant) he makes me feel great even tho i am hormonal and insecure at the min, he has to much of the housework too. he's amazing, and his family have been great when my own family and alot of my friends are so far away.

This is not to say that others didn't make me feel welcome and make me laugh, but we're only talking about Stretchie's awesomeness ;)

I think I met the Stretchmeister pre AR07 when he came to visit London with work.

However I do remember that we were the last up drinking on the Friday night, even managing to drag Quiff out of bed :)

Top Bloke :)

*PS Stretchie - see, I didn't even mention Barmaids :)

But in all honesty he is really cool, caring and considerate even if annoying, self righteous, without a fashion sense and with the weirdest sense of humour ever! (OMG i'm so in trouble!! hihi). He does everything i ask (sometimes) and i love him lots and lots... just sometimes i want to strangle him or just wack him over the head with summit really heavy... but i wouldn't swap him for anyone else :) (hope i've redeemed myself! Ophic, don't forget to bring poo bags to the AR.

Miss Ophic, make sure he does all the picking up with said poo bags, if he doesn't, strangle him and feed him margarine!!!
