separate the man and his music from the freakshow that was his last few years and there's no denying his impact on popular music. off the wall, thriller and maybe to a slightly lesser extent bad were tremendous fantastic albums.

after that, well, who knows what took him over

Big news huh? i guess its analogous to when Elvis died

Maybe in death he'll be left alone. Sure, he was odd, but thats possibly why he was able to make good music...thinking outside the box all the time, and not keeping in with generic pop crap that gets spouted out all the time

MJ dead!

I thought he died years ago, and had been holed up with Elvis waiting for his career to resurrect.

So much talent wasted when he went wacko. The old Michael will be missed by his friends and fans. But I doubt many, but his family will mourn the passing of the Michael of the last 5 years.

All thi speculation about how he died, well here's the real story:

Police suspect a smooth criminal was responsible. He was not alone. There was apparently a man in the mirror who was very dangerous and wanted to start something even though MJ told him to beat it and was heard to say leave me alone. Nobody knows if the suspect was black or white..
The coroner is unsure what to put down as the cause of Michael Jackson's death. He doesn't know whether to blame it on the sunshine, the moonlight, the good times, or the boogie..

Don't blame me, I nicked it from another place

I remember GMTV (I think) had an aerobics spot that was taken over for a couple of weeks that did a step by step (couple of moves a day) tutorial for how to do the main dance sequence from Thriller...

I probably would have considered tickets to see him in the upcoming months if the whole gig thing wasnt such a rip-off.

Some forums I've been on I've not replied to threads because of the "glad the kiddy fiddler's in hell now" type of posts

The facts remain, the guy was acquitted of the most recent charges regarding any inappropriate behaviour after the evidence was collected.

The first round of accusations were settled out of court, what kind of person takes someone to court after being "abused" and then settles? Only someone more interested in the money than any justice court proceedings might bring.
