I'm not usually one for vigilante justice, but this made me smille...

A knife-wielding thug got the shock of his life when he broke into his elderly neighbour's house and found out the hard way that the older man was once a boxing champion.

Gregory McCalium was left looking like he'd been in "a car accident" after copping two right hooks to the head from Frank Corti, a former British Army boxer who inflicted a black eye and split lip along with serious concussion on the hapless home invader before performing a citizen's arrest.

The Daily Mail reports the 71-year-old retiree managed to inflict the damage despite being attacked with what Mr Corti described as a "six-bladed knuckle-duster".

God on the old boy. Scum who prey on old people always do it cos they expect them to be weak and unable to fight back. Glad this scumbag learnt the hard way.
Give the old fella a medal, not for bravery but for 2 punches inflicting that much damage

I'm not one for taking the law into your own hands either, but when it's in your own house and the law isn't there, you have to do what you can to protect yourself/family and well done to this guy! The kid no doubt got the shock of his life and I hope he'll think twice about doing it again!!!

I read this in the sun this morning, brought a smile to my face. What i like especially was the fact he was armed with a knife and still got his bum handed to him on a silver platter.

I was expecting to hear that the old guy was going to get done for something, as seems to be the way of things.

Happy that for once that doesn't appear to be the case and that this little scummer got just what he deserved.
