Normally I would just put on my leathers, but when its pushing 90 out there its way too hot! I think I was medium/rare by the time I had finished cooking on my bike.

So what to wear when its this hot? I have seen that Alpinestar do an aroumred zip mesh jackect, which is really well vented. Is this any good? I could just throw over a hockey shirt over the top of that.

The main things for me is that I don't want to comprise the level of protection too far.

What is everyone wearing to keep kool but protected? Ideas, suggestions would be ace. Its getting to the point I'll do almost anything to aviod the slow cooking process.

I'm in leathers but have the textiles without the liners in and using a silk base layer to keep me cool with all my vents open. Also tend not to do the jacket right up to let more circulate

also make sure u take the long way home and do no less than 70mph will keep you cool!!

Yes I saw and read I do agree that cooking while riding isn't ideal, normally I would just wear I really like my leathers but its just too much. Zipping along at 70 in town isn't greatest idea is it;)

So thats why I was thinking that there must be something else than can worn instead.

Jeans, proper boots, gloves, leather jacket and lid.

Couldn't ride in anything less on the road.

I've rode in shorts, t-shirt and lid around an airfield and I can see why people do it. But there were no cage drivers on the airfield.

I'm riding at the moment in mesh Richa jacket (the meshy bits are not on the slide points), Draggin jeans, vented summer gloves (very vented in fact - have shoved my finger through the end), my stinky 5 year-old Sidi's (also vented, as the sole is starting to come away at the front, so the air goes through :D ), and my lid.

I find it comfy while moving (even at slow speed), and bareable when stationary. My only problem is potentially getting sunburn on my neck.

Actually, I lied a little in that first paragraph....I'm wearing nothing of the sort as I came to work by car today with the air-con on ;)
