So what ya doing to keep cool?

If you hadn't noticed its a bit warm this week:cool: But I know for those you up north, its probally cold and raining;)

So how you keeping cool? Luckly I was working nights this week so working at night was so much easier, but sleeping during the day was a different story.

Cold shower, going swiming and lying in the backyard with a beer seem a good idea.

So what ya going do?

to keep cool im doin over a ton as much as possible! (only coz i'll pass out from the heat in me leathers if any slower)

On the bike i take my neck warmer off (my lips get really dry usually so i wear it all the time), and i unzip my jacket half way down, visor open a wee bit and the velcro on the bottom of my trousers is undone ^.^

At home i just sweat like a **** even with the balcony doors open and 5 windows, totally useless. Cold showers help and wetting my hair too :p

+1, the server room here is holding its temp lubberly. It's just a little too noisy to be in there all day.

The downside of that is though I feel like I condensate up when I go outside. :smt028

You can guarentee not to get a ticket in this hot weather unless you are acting like a right knob, it's 'cos the traffic cars have really good air-con! That body armour is really hot! Having said that, our new uniform is a micro-fibre flece top, tagged as "Thermal" by the manufacturer. This was issued on the 1st June. Good timing eh?

At home? a huge B&Q fan and a spray bottle of water. Spray the water into the air stream and feel the cooling effect. That, or cold beer!

Got a can of Magicool which is amazing and safe for the dogs as well.....but just sat here watching the tennis in a little summer dress with the fan on and a glass of juice.........lovely!

Mother fookarooney, just went to tescos and took the long way around, it felt so nice, i had shorts on under my textiles and my thin hoodie under the jacket... brilliant. After 2 minutes around tesco however, the ride back was uncomfortable and now i'm sitting down, just as boiling hot as i was before i left.

Spent early afternoon dying in my leathers riding to Bedford with my mate, stopped at a pub for a coke and had a change of heart and we all went out on the crossers in t shirts and shorts with the dogs in tow and let them swim in the river, later I went for a swim in the neighbour's pool with his wife and daughter and then went out for dinner with some mates ...ahhh aircon...not a bad day all in all.

while at work i sit in the giant chiller room where we put frozen stock, its nice and cold in there but there feels twice as warm when you go out.

I have had a tower fan on all day, scares the dog to death so he hides outside in the sun LOL

I just refuse to go to bed as I cant sleep, oven upstairs in my house :( only way to keep cool for me is to stay downstairs lol

For the past couple of days and for the next few days I deal with heat by waking up at about 8am, have breakfast then stay at the beach till about 6pm getting in and out the water for a swim:) ice cold beer bottles seem to never end as well:)

Well its all back to normal for summer hating people;)

Looks like a bit of rain and 20 ish or so in the next week. Well the only good thing is that it has saved me buying more kit for a while and being hot and bothred when I don't need it!
