So i was just reading a hello thread (welcome adam :smt039 ) and jamie said

"Well better to melt than to freeze! At least you're not an immobile lump of ice, rather be a flobbery mess of bodily fluids and beer cans, wouldn't you agree?"

which got me thinking, dangerous i know, but the question is would you rather be really really hot or really really cold?

my answer is cold because i feel it would be easier to warm up.

There is for and against, I agree it is easier to warm up than cool down.

But being on the bike when it is hot is much better than when it is cold. I am a warm creature, hate the cold.

if its on the bike, I'd sooner freeze than feel like a baked spud, like I did today :-(

I greatly dislike the higher temperatures, I get more migraines, I hate being sweaty, I feel ill and can barely function. :smt078

I am a cold girl, I love snow and Ice. Last winter Carol took a photo of me running around the garden in a bikini! I am an Ice Climber, I love cold mountains, camping on frosty ground. The joy of banging home your ice axe is unparalleled in summer climbing.

Autumn and Spring are probably my favourite seasons with winter a close second. OK, I am a freak... \\:D/

Definitely prefer too hot, too cold is just painful!

I'm a cold freak, I love walking in the rain, I love the cold, I hate the sun >_<

Having been caught out in the high noon of Egypt in Mid Summer, and having fallen asleep in the snow of Andora, I can say I much prefer freezing, I've always prefered the cold anyway but I decided if I'm going to die of extereme temperature I'd definantly prefer the fuzzy lazy comfort of drifting off in the cold than the sweltering exhausting heat :p

If I had to be either very hot or very cold I would prefer to be very hot.

However, if I had to burn or freeze as in the thread title, freezing would be a more lengthy way to go but less painful.

But if the burning was a bit smokey before burny, I think I'd rather go that way as I am sure smoke inhalation is preferable to a good old roasting.

I like both hold and cold weather.

I can cope fine in very hot and very cold weather.

guess being cold means its easier to warm up. But being freezing cold is also really painful (my feet killed when I went to Finland earlier this year).

If I had to pick, Id choose being really hot. I can always cool down by jumping the sea, or a pool :D and eating lots of ice-cream :D

I always cold - i have three layer under leathers it seems at all times it can be 32 degrees with a slight breeze and i'm cold - I am a freak!
but today I'm too hot. Its not fair
tho i would rather be cold as i can warm up eaiser than i can cool down - (unless i'm on hols)
I'm just fickle and nothing suits me!

I prefer the cold.

Us Northerners aren't designed for use in hot temperatures.

Cold for me. As long as it's not too cold you can run about and do things to keep warm and get things done. When it's really hot (like Sunday) you look at all the jobs waiting for you in the garden but don't have the energy to do them... And when you're in the car the heater is less noisy than a full on air-con unit so you can hear your tunes better in colder months. And you don't feel like a boil-in-the-bag meal when you go out on the bike when it's cooler.

In Finland a few years ago on a santa special we were outside the hotel at 7 in the morning (early December). It was something like -20c and it was fabulous - as long as you kept moving!

In retrospect, I'd rather be cold because it's easier to warm up than it is to cool down. However, cold showers and sitting in the garden with just your undies on, with a sprinkler on you is an awesome feeling.

I'll take cold. You can always wear more clothing, but there's a limit to how much you can take off before you get arrested for indecent exposure.

It's better to die of cold than hot. Cold death just means you stop shivering and fall asleep.
