Thursday 2nd July is right up there with some of my favorite days of my life. Some others are: My first WSBK weekend, toselands double win, suzuki gsxr day when colin mcrae thrashed a gsxr1000 then drove his rally car sideways around each turn. What have all these got in common?

These are very good! You have the panning right, just need to maybe up your shutter speed a touch (make it faster) so that you get more of the bikes in focus, but i'd be very happy with these and much better than what the track photographer was getting (the track photography ones were either over exposed, too dark, or everything in focus with no real sense of speed to the images).

I also like the slight rotation you have done to the images so they are not going from left to right, this also adds an interest to the images.

Great colour saturation (something Nikon does very well).

The last picture i would crop in slightly just to take out the fence post ;)

I think the speed was 1/250 (im sure it was less than that but thats the last setting on my camera) and f 9 or 10 (depending on if the cloud went over or not...)

It is your work and just a suggestion :D The image still works with our without it, if you did want to crop it, i would crop so that the bike has more space in front of it than behind it that way the bike has space to travel through the image ;)

I will try this :D I read something in a photo magazine about getting the shutter speed so that everything looks like its moving, so thats the effect I was going for but I slightly overdid it

There is a few chaps like that about, last time I was at rockingham there was two lads out in the fast group, one with a left arm missing, one with a right arm.......both going very quick in the fast group

Yes, his left arm is missing from just above the elbow. He was in the fast group, and was very quick. Looking at the pics he has a thumb brake and the clutch moved to the right hand bar. I guess he braces against the tank a lot :)
