So folks

I've not posted for a while - had a pretty rough week, the OH finished with me last sunday which was pretty crap in itself, but then he started on the age old bike issues...

So, I need some help. Having liberated my bike from the shed with the help of my two neighbours it is now parked on the drive... it does need a wee service, now the ex is being difficult about doing this he's suddenly "far too busy". It is due it's mot so wondered if someone would come give it a once over (preferably with tools oil etc for chain - cos I have none!) for me?

Anyone want to help out a damsel in distress?

I'll glady cover costs of oil etc...

thanks in advance...

Yeah - just the babysitting now, and the endless praying that the bike doesn't get nicked from the drive! :smt120

T and bikkies I can do. :) I know that it needs something done to the chain, it's got too much play in it, and rust! :smt088

hmmm, next weekend - would have to be sunday (12th) the wee yin has a party on the saturday.

I'm off uni for 3 weeks as of he 13th of July, cant do the 18th as I'm at a wedding that day.

Got a chain and padlock on it, but it's not chained to anything if that makes sense... I was going to chain it to the lamp-post but i'm concerned about the local kids playing near it!

I could drop my paddock stand off with you if it lets Bibio use his bike instead of the cage, and I could pick it up again next week.

Has your bike got swingarm bobbins? My stand's got cups and hooks, so it should be OK either way but I've never tried the cups.

I could also drop off a bottle of paraffin for cleaning the chain if you want it - I've got enough of the stuff here to last me a lifetime of chain cleaning!

Cheers

wow you lot are great, another thing I miss about Scotland, the friendliness of everyone, the ease of organising rideouts (like pulling teeth down here). dont miss the midges and rain though. chin up fenjer. I used to have problems organising babysitters too when I left my hubby so got my 14 year old daughter a job and took 10 year old son on bike with me, problem solved lol

This sounds like a good plan - I'll let Bibio decide. And I have no idea about swing arms bobbins. :smt087

yes appollo1 is correct. give that man a biccie... ;)

well i'll be in the cage, but it will only take me about 1.5 hrs i guess.. so by the time i drop the cage off again and pick up the bike it'll be about 1:00-2:00, so an afternoon run might be in order.

but if i can get over during the week then its business as usual on the sunday.
