Yup, definitely going. The show isn't too great in my eyes, but I will be camping (going down on the Friday) and taking in the bands. There was a Thin Lizzy tribute band last year - not quite T in the Park, I know! The banter in the camp-site makes the trip worth it. Some great wee pubs in Kelso (short walk away).

Mrs Tiger will be there. I will be at home telling the kids to shut up and watching The Clone Wars on DVD. :-)

Better make sure you take extra 'stretchies', so that you can make sure 'Dixie' is securely tied down for the run back up the road after the Saturday night sesh:drink:....or are you going two up so that Dixie can drive you home on the Sunday! LOL!

Seeing Morna's disapointment at not taking her bike we decided we'll take both. She wont stop grinning and we havent left yet

Hi everyone, got home from Kelso about 4.30 yesterday, knackered but happy, after a great weekend!
Weather turned out fantastic, got a bit wet coming home but well worth it.
Was good to meet Kate again, also met her other half Bob, Alison, Fiona and their OHs (sorry useless with names, but think i did ok considering it was quite late in the evening that we met!!!)
Bands were good this year but be good to see League of Mentelmen back again next year.
Did'nt buy much at the show ourselves but some friends got some really good bargains.

Well i got really, really close to getting there.

Wufie and me were making the 1000mile round-trip from Skye to Huddersfield on Saturday in a Transit to pick up his new purchase, a 916 - 'tis reallly luvly. :smt003

Anyhow - we thought we would get up early, 07.30 and get down the road, maybe pop into the Bikefest for an hour or so if we were making good time. We got to Moffat and peeled off the M-way to make our way over past St.Marys Loch - what a road, must go back on 2 wheels  - we arrived in Kelso at 15.50. Parked up the van and went to the gates with £20 note in hand.

Someone then informed us we were too late to get in, the stalls were being emptied, please leave now. I explained we'd come pretty far including a 50mile detour specifically to have a look around as I'm really in need of a new lid and gear. He wasn't interested, in fact his words were something like 'that's a f'ing shame but you're too late so come back tomorrow'.

Gee thanks dude, maybe next year eh. Looked like a great event from the other side of the fence, so hope you all had a nice time. Please dont tell me there were Shoei's going dirt cheap in there.... :-(

No Haggis, no cheap Shoei's. The stuff that gets sold is either 'Custom' (as in fringes!) or tat....so I wouldn't worry.
Unfortunately, I didn't see the bands on the Friday night, as Ali and Dixie were pouring Vodka down my throat and I then got sent to bed early (possibly because I was, by then, bouncing off the walls off the tent!).
Sorry to Jillyburd for not meeting up! Bit hungover!

Yeah right Kate! Ali held you down while i poured the vodka!:drink:

I was wondering, might it have been the wine before the vodka that caused the bouncing off the wall effect? :D

Anyway, it was a great weekend, have to do it all again sometime!

See, I knew something like that had happened!

Yeah, the rose wine, the red wine in the Sangria, the brandy in the Sangria, the Vodka (that you've now admitted to! haha!).....at least I was put to my bed before Ali brought out the Buckfast! (in shot glasses, no less. How sophisticated!) LOL!

Would love to do it all over again....but my liver says NO! LOL! :drunken:

Well, if you could have just managed to stay on your legs for 10 minutes longer and had a buckie 'shot', you wouldn't have had a hangover!!!

You do know its a 'tonic' wine...:p

Help! My stunt double (Cheeky Monkey) was possibly monkey-napped at Kelso. I received a post-card from Dunotter Castle (Stonehaven) to say all is well and he has been hitch-hiking on a Harley (?), but has anybody, any ideas to his whereabouts? Ali? Dixie?

OMG! If I were you I would worry - big time. Even Cheeky Monkey has taste, and there is no way he would have gone willingly on a Harley! :p Did the postcard mention a randsom?

Kate SV650

No mention of a ransom.
Here's what the post-card said....
Hi, You forgot me at the rally, so I'm hiking my way home. Just left Stonehaven on the back of a Harley. Too much noise, not like your bike. See you soon. Yours faithfully, Cheeky Monkey.
What do you think?
As you know, i wouldn't just forget Cheeky Monkey (would I?)....and why come home via Stonehaven? Questions, questions......;)

If you spent your life on any motorbike going backwards all the time, you wouldn't have a good sense of direction either... poor cheeky monkey.
