Grrrr......
My house is right next to Hitchin railway station and I leave my bike parked up under cover in one of the motorcycle bike shed type things. Quite useful - elevated pole to chain too, etc. all very nice.
Anyways, I knew I wasn't going to be using it much last week so I put my oxford bike cover on it - and someone's gone and bloody knicked it over the weekend!
Wandered round the car park and asked in the station just in case someone's just lobbed it over a fence, but no joy.
At least they didn't nick the bike...
I had theives cut strategic holes in mine to see what equipment it had on it. They finally set off the alarm trying to get the exhaust off.

Maybe when you get another, get some long chain to wrap around the bike in the centre holding the cover down? better than that silly little clip!
Pretty lame really, but I guess someone wants a nice cover for their stolen GSXR :(

Now thats anmnoying.
But better to get a cover nicked than your bike...
As above at least they never touched the bike you have to remember that this country is a joke so you might aswell laugh about it!
Some tramps stole my mountain bikes from my garden shed 2 weeks ago my bike was a goodin but my GF's was awefull with 2 flat tyres and broken gears they still carried it away, numpties was worth more as scrap lol

That's a bit cheeky isn't it? Poles left for commuters and if I am reading this correct you use one for your home parking?

Sorry about the bike cover, DaveWalker.
I note that you live nearby. I myself live in Hatfield. Hitchin is
supposed to be a more respectable place so I am surprised the bike
cover theft happened there.
FOR SALE: used bike covers of all sizes :D (joke)

LOL! Very good GavinD
Rythms was really good this year - anyone else on here go? Lucky with the weather again.
Professor - I've spotted a couple of other SVs on my local travels - don't suppose you've got a yellow curvy or black pointy?
White rabbit - yeah it is a bit cheeky I know, it's a rail rather than a pole so people can always park next to me. No-ones complained yet anyway!

I've got a silver pointy (see clickable link in my signature for
photo). You are unlikely to see me because I tend to ride into
London late (after the morning rush hour) and return to Hatfield
late (after the evening rush hour). When I have an early meeting at
work I usually take the train into Kings X.

Its where all us kool kids live innit :)
I tell you what tho, Hitchin may not be far but getting that fekin cover home was hard work. It was like motorcycling with a parachute attached. ;)
And DaveW if you wanna follow me in to Soho any Friday just let me know.
We did a nice rideout a few weekbs back now thru Herts and stopped just inside Essex for a bit of grub before heading back to the right area, you should have joined us for that. Never mind, get yourself to Soho so you get to meet some of the beautiful people :)
