Putting my headphones in about to leave the car park at work as I look down at the back tyre NOOOOO theres a damn nail in it, thought I'll take it easy and get home got home and pulled it out hoping it was only a couple of mil thick, well it wasnt as soon as I pulled it out I heard psssssst so i stuck it back in enough to stop the air coming out and now I'm gonna have to take it to the tyre shop tommorow to get it plugged.

:-( well I phoned the tyre place, he said he should be able to plug it at least, Might just stick a bit of superglue down there ;]
Thats not good mate, have you described where the nail is to the guy?
Sometimes, they won't patch a tyre that has a nail/screw etc not in the center of the tyre.
Hope you get it plugged, happened to my last tyre :(

He didn't ask, just said bring it down tomorrow night. If he wont plug it im not paying another 90 odd quid for a tyre i'll get rid of the bike and buy something half decent. I hope he can plug it, I was supposed to be going to Scarborough on the weekend.
It's times like that you wish you had a puncture repair kit under the seat isn't it. Had the same happen to me. But I had the puncture fixed in 5 minutes and was on my way home still in time to beat the rush hour traffic dodgem session. :)

Bummer :(
I try to keep the puncture Karma faries happy by making sure i pick up every pointy foreign oject off the roads i can. Weather i'm walking or on the bike stopped in traffic. its shocking what you find if your eyes are peeled for it.
Last week while walking to the shop i found about 10-15 various sized screws all over a side road near my house. Looking at where they were it wouldnt suprise me if a builders/ handlymans van had opend its back doors and these fell out or something.
I did my good deed and the Karma faires will look after my tyres for a little while longer.

It was right through the tyre so I just used it to get home ;] had a nice wee race with a guy on an r1 probably not the best idea thinking about it but at least I had fun. No underseat for me lol i got what i can carry and thats it :(
