View Full Version : I've sold my bike

Ed

Was sure that nobody was interested so even bought a few cheap bits and pieces for it recently, including a carbon end cap from TLW:cool:

And suddenly it went today.

I should be feeling pleased, but instead I feel flat and disappointed. Whilst I never rode the bike that fast, the handling was simply fantastic. It was so rewarding to ride. A few people on a thread on biking issues gave 675s a big thumbs down, to you I can only say you have never owned one.

So, what to buy next. Can't afford much, I'm a poor solicitor. Budget of £1500 absolutely top whack and preferably less. Can't be a shed as I have neither the skills nor the time to fix it. No idea what I want, which doesn't help:rolleyes:

Is such a shame Ed.... I really loved the look of your bike. If I wasn`t so vertically challenged i`d love to test ride one

Sorry to hear about the bike Ed, in a way it gives you a fresh start, how about something strange and unusual? Carol had a Cossack Combi a few years ago and said that not only was it bomb proof, it was also great fun for a little while. What ever you decide to go for, make sure you buy something good and safe. Have you ever thought of a little Suzuki, they make a great bike called an SV...

...I used to have one, 5 years ago!!! I lowsided it:rolleyes: I've been looking through MCN, but there's not much at what I want to pay. Ah well, cash is king. I took a bit of a pasting on price so I will simply pass it on.

But..too late now.
The only thing worse than buying a bike in the summer is...
Not having a bike to ride in the summer!

Go on...get another SV Ed. You know you want too!!! ;)

Didn't think you'd get rid of it so soon, it was a loverley bike though, shame i didn't get to try it out:(, what about a thundercat, and no you can't have mine, i like it too much. theres always a bike out there looking for you to buy it, just don't leave it too long or you'll have to borrow Frans scooter to come for a ride. Unlike the 675 it will take any corner flat out reach a heady 45 mph downhill.:D

Daryl.

Carol has one of these, a Kawasaki GTR 1000 tourer.

Only hers is somewhat battered and in need of a lot of work due to having been left unattended on the sea front for three years outside her old flat. It is in our garage now and I would love to get it looking like this again.

What do you want it to do, is the question. I think we know what you don't want it to do, after the Trumpet, it was a guided missile after all and that wouldn't suit me either.

A blandit after a daytona?!

Are you trying to bore the guy to death?

I thought it was perhaps a strange tangent but someone who knows him better than me suggested he'd be interested.
