No suprises there then!

A good weekend, drove down Saturday early morning, got there easily by half eleven. Unloaded trailer etc at Sliders then jumped on the bike down to the track. Was on track for opening by 2pm, managed 14 laps before finishing at 6:30pm as I was getting a little tired! Met a few guys off gixerjunkies in the car park. Pizza and a couple of beers at Bren, finished off by watching the moto GP qualifying before heading to bed

Sunday was more of the same, up early the track remained suprisingly quiet, some good lapping, a bacon sandwich, curry wurst mit pommes, interesting emergency stop practice with Welly GT on the entry to Adenauer Forst. After another 14 laps it was 2pm and I decided to pack in, I'd had some great laps and another new PB, so back to Bren's, load up the trailer, then back to Adenau to pick up Xavier's Ninja which had had a slight incident on cold tyres the day before at T13, by which time it chucked it down. Then a steady drive home, back in time for the GP.

So a few pics from on track:

A fast Caterham coming by:

A great weekend, really getting in the groove and loving the BT-002R's on track.

Bring on the 24th/25th/26th for the next trip, all though I need to get a new rear fitted before then.

Again!? Tim - you have far too much time on your hands. Actually, I'm just depressed because it has been almost a year since I have been on track. Soon though..... :)

Man, I love currywurst :smt045

Good for you Tim, glad for your new PB too mate. I'm not as jealous of this as i have been of the last few threads you out up, only cos we did a trackday at Brands last week tho :)

If we do a Ring Run at least we all know someone over there that we can crash with. In fact iirc from the last lot of pics Tims new garage is bigger than the hotel room me and Darren shared at Brands Hotel so he'll have plenty of room for us all ;)

There were a few organised in the past which went pretty welll I believe, although my garage is a bit far away, I always have to stay somewhere when I'm down there!

Nice Tim. I was hoping for an epic write up like your usual ones!

Me and a couple of mates are heading over next year I believe. When I have more details I will share them so if anyone wants to join us they can :)

Apologies for the lack of epicity! Could have shortened it to: Went to Ring, 28 laps in less than 24 hrs, went fast, came back :D

Great pics Tim. You mentioned you got there at 11. Where did you travel from? I assume you took the train over?

Well, the end of the plot from my best lap from the GPS race chrono logger:

I live in Holland at the moment, so it takes about 4 hrs steady cruise with the bike on the trailer behind the Pug, saves on sticky tyres! And is comfier for the journey home when you're beat.

I'm up for an .org 'ring trip :D I only went the once, when I'd been riding for all of 1 month, so I'd love to go back to see what it's like now...
