Saturday was the 1 year anniversary of me getting back in the saddle.
July 4th 2008 (independence day...so apt) was when I picked up my SV650S K8.
Since then, I have covered 11,700 miles, had one off (in Feb and he's only just admitted liability  ) and had many upgrades:
- Stebel Nautilus (best mod ever!)
- Rear hugger (sold after off....never liked it)
- R&G tail tidy (again gone, didn't like)
- DL650 handguards (ace for winter, but sold after off)
- Symtec grip heaters (as above, but a must for winter riding)
- Avon Storm ST's (ace rubber!)
- Hagon progressive springs (WHAT an improvement on the stock springs?!?!)
- SW-motech rack and Givi T450 soft luggage (essential for the commuting bod)
I've had shed loads of good advice on here, met some nice peeps (at the Ponderosa and Wirral Egg Run) and thoroughly enjoyed the SV.
I enjoyed it so much, I walked away from a brand spanking D675 for £5.5k when my SV was written off....bought it back and got it back on the road for less than £200 and enjoyed every mile just as much (if not more so since).
I'm on hols soon and just know I'm gonna miss riding it everyday for a couple of weeks :(.
God bless the SV!
