Hi all, new here. Want to get my pointy MOT'd soon. Any ideas as to which is the best place for it in or near Paisley? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks to all in advance,

Avuss in paisley or MCS in Renfrew are pretty local. Does not need to be a Suzuki dealer.

Avuss are ok, they do it off-site though.

Even arrange a test ride when you're there, try the Super Duke or the Duke 600

Have a look Here (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=132220) I believe the shmoo gets a good rep but not sure if he is anywhere near you or does mot's

If you don't mind travelling, ECS in East Kilbride - 01355 260900 - do MoTs by just beeping the horn and revving the engine a bit. thumper21's 10 year old Divvy passed in about 6 minutes, my pointy took half that long. 30 quid mind.

Thanks to all for the help. I am going tomorrow to ECS and see what they can do. Hopefully won't be too long, if your experience is anything to go by. ;)

Hope your MOT went on well. I went to ECS, and its really good. Took less than 15 minutes, and no hassles at all. In fact the guy who MOT's it has a pointy himself. No use over weekend as they are busy, but anytime during week is fine as they can do it the same day when you phone.

Yeah mine was fine as well, took it more locally in the end (tynecastle garage in edinburgh) as I wouldn't have managed the journey.

Hopefully it's catching. Booked in for test on Sat morning. Plugged a bloody great screw in the rear tyre and fitted new rear pads the other night. Bedded them in Last night. The guy picked up KGs for the rear brakes just a while back. Should be fine.

Garry:rolleyes:

I just put mine through its first MOT. Failed first time, Rear brake didnt make 25% (21%), and Headlap was sitting too low :S. Fitted some new brake pads and it passed fine 2nd time
