hi there foks,
while having a general tinker with the bike at the weekend I decided to balance the carbs. while the bike was nicely warmed up and just ticking over i could actually see fuel coming out of the needle jet on the front carb but none coming out of the rear. I've noticed this before and didn't think much of it, but it's fresh in my mind now so i'm asking for a bit of advice.
is this usual on a curvy? or is it likely i've got some gunk up there that's stopping the needle seating correctly on the front carb? I checked the position of the circlips on the top of the needles recently so i'm sure they're correct. doesn't seem to affect running or fuel ecomony (typically 140 to reserve commuting) but it does pop occasionally and sometimes you get a wiff of petrol.
